On the weekend, Shen Qiuhua went to the location arranged by Yi Se Cai for a promotional photoshoot. It was a complex of ancient buildings, now developed into a tourist attraction. To avoid interruptions, the entire crew arrived at five in the morning.
The gatekeeper seemed familiar with the crew and let them in after just a glance. The ancient buildings, bathed in the dawn light, exuded a serene and timeless atmosphere.
As soon as Shen Qiuhua stepped inside, she felt like she had entered a different world. The makeup artist swiftly did her makeup, and the costume designer led her to a car to change clothes.
Yang Qiong glanced at the costume designer. Even though the designer was a woman, Yang Qiong couldn't help feeling a little possessive. She suggested helping Shen Qiuhua change instead, and the costume designer left the car after confirming everything was fine.
It was clear that the costume designer's departure made Shen Qiuhua feel more at ease. "I'm not used to being watched like that," she admitted.
"Of course not! What's ours shouldn't be seen by others," Yang Qiong said as she helped Shen Qiuhua dress.
The modified outfit wasn't complicated, otherwise, no one would buy it. With a few quick adjustments, they had her fully dressed. The makeup artist then styled her hair. Although they had brought a pile of hair accessories, none seemed necessary, so Shen Qiuhua personally chose a simple white pearl hairpin as her only adornment.
By the time they were done, it wasn't even six o'clock, and the photographer was already prepared.
In the ancient architecture complex, Shen Qiuhua strolled leisurely, occasionally pausing to look around, glancing back, gazing at the lotus leaves floating on the water or listening to the distant sounds of morning bells.
At first, the photographer directed her to pose in common modeling stances, but he soon realized that it was unnecessary. With her dressed in those clothes against the backdrop of such an authentic setting, Shen Qiuhua was a living painting.
The photographer's camera shutter clicked non-stop, and he lost track of the fact that this was just for a set of clothes. Someone had to remind him that he had already taken over eighty photos of the first outfit. Today, his camera was in for a real challenge!
Given the time constraints and Shen Qiuhua's energy, they had brought nine outfits in total. After the first set, the photographer became more mindful of the number of shots he took, but each outfit still resulted in over fifty photos.
The entire photoshoot progressed swiftly. Shen Qiuhua barely made any requests, nor did she seem particularly tired. It was simply a routine of changing outfits, wandering around for a bit, and then changing again. Eventually, she stopped caring about where the camera was, simply enjoying the ancient surroundings while the photographer chased after her, exhausted.
By midday, they wrapped up the shoot. For the last two outfits, a few tourists began to arrive and watch, so there were fewer photos taken.
"Miss Shen, you are a natural model!" The photographer, Yu Xuan, asked to ride back in Yang Qiong's car and showered Shen Qiuhua with praise during the ride.
"Thank you," Shen Qiuhua responded politely but said little else.
"Miss Shen, you have the most classical grace I've ever seen in a model, it's truly rare!" Yu Xuan continued.
Shen Qiuhua turned to look at him in the back seat and smiled. "If you have something to say, just say it."
"Uh..." Yu Xuan wasn't expecting her to be so direct. "Well, the thing is, only a portion of the photos I took today will be used by Yi Se Cai. I'd like to sell the rest to various magazines. Of course, if they're published, I'll pay you. It would be a collaboration between us. What do you think?"
