Qiu Yang's incident made Zheng Dongheng furious, but after calming down, he found a way to settle it. However, the amount of money originally promised to Wendy was reduced by sixty percent. She initially did this for the money, and now with so much less, she had to find another way to raise funds. After much thought, she considered blackmailing Chen Siqi. She knew this was risky, but she had no other options. The pain of her drug addiction made her overlook all potential dangers.
"Sending you to a rehab center is to save you. Don't you think about what you've done? Can Zheng Dongheng or Mr. Chen spare you?" Yang Qiong had the tone of someone who wanted to save the world.
Shen Qiuhua patted Wendy's hand and said, "We'll leave it up to you how you'll explain this to the police." She held up a memory card, then said, "We've tampered with everything on here. Even if you made backups, would you dare to take them out? You only have one life, take care of it."
Wendy said nothing. She was sent to a rehab center for forced detoxification. This seemingly complicated matter ultimately settled quietly.
"No result is a good result," Shen Qiuhua said with a smile on the way back.
However, Yang Qiong had other thoughts. "Qiuhua, with our understanding, why not open a private detective agency? At least we could support ourselves."
"You just don't want to be a teacher, right?" Shen Qiuhua saw through her thoughts.
"Work is exhausting, and the pay is low. It's such a shame for you." This was a big truth.
Shen Qiuhua didn't respond. The wind from outside the car window blew in, tangling her hair. Yang Qiong knew that when Shen Qiuhua didn't clearly express her opinion, it meant they thought differently. She rarely directly denied Yang Qiong's ideas, which was a sign of respect from a wife to her husband.
Upon returning to the Chen family, they told Chen Siqi that the matter had been resolved. Chen Siqi was overjoyed. "So, can I go out to play now?"
"After this incident, Miss Chen should understand how treacherous people can be. Be more cautious in the future."
With the crisis averted, Chen Siqi became dissatisfied with Yang Qiong and Shen Qiuhua. After listening to Shen Qiuhua's advice, she huffed, "I admit you both are capable, but my dad spent money too. We've settled things financially, don't think you can lecture me just because you helped me with this. You should look at your status."
Yang Qiong was furious upon hearing this. How could this brat burn the bridge after crossing it? If she had known, she might as well let Wendy extort twenty million directly from her and let Mr. Chen handle her. Why bother going through so much trouble?
Seeing Yang Qiong getting upset, Chen Siqi immediately retreated several steps, "What? Are you going to hit me? Haven't you finished your business yet? Are you waiting for me to reward you?"
Yang Qiong's anger couldn't be contained, and if it weren't for Shen Qiuhua holding her back, she would have already acted. Shen Qiuhua struggled to pull her back into the guest room.
"I shouldn't have helped her!"
"This girl is not worth it. If necessary, we just won't have future dealings with her. Why get angry with her? We have finally completed the task;m, so let's go home quickly." Shen Qiuhua had seen too many people like Chen Siqi in her past life.
Looking at her gentle and comforting partner, Yang Qiong finally smiled. "Let's go home."
Shen Qiuhua found it strange that Mr. Chen had not shown up through all of this. Zhao Ming had said that Mr. Chen had a business issue abroad that required his urgent attention, which was why he hastily called Yang Qiong to resolve his daughter's problem.
