Back in the room, Shen Qiuhua collapsed onto the bed, not wanting to move at all. Yang Qiong held her close, saying, "You must be exhausted."
"Do you even have the right to say that?" Shen Qiuhua shot her a look full of both annoyance and shyness, causing Yang Qiong to shiver inwardly.
"Where does it hurt? I'll give you a massage." As she spoke, her hands began to wander.
"My waist." Shen Qiuhua ignored Yang Qiong's wandering hands and pointed to her slender waist.
Yang Qiong began to massage her seriously. Her hands were very strong, and the massage felt incredibly comfortable to Shen Qiuhua, making her fall asleep almost immediately.
Watching Shen Qiuhua sleep so peacefully, Yang Qiong smiled gently, kissed her forehead, covered them with a blanket, and fell asleep holding her.
With the warmth of the body next to her and her exhaustion, Shen Qiuhua slept soundly through the night, without even dreaming. When she woke up, the sun had already filled most of the room. The spot next to her was empty, and she saw that her sleepwear was still on, indicating how well Yang Qiong had behaved.
After changing her clothes and leaving the room, she saw Yang Qiong and Shen's father fixing a bicycle in the yard. Yang Qiong, spotting her, smiled and said, "You're awake?"
"You know how to do this too?" Shen Qiuhua was surprised at how well Yang Qiong adapted, even with such practical skills.
"Don't underestimate me. Who hasn't stolen a family bicycle to ride when they were kids? I knew how to fix bikes before I enlisted," Yang Qiong said with a touch of pride. She felt a sense of accomplishment seeing Shen Qiuhua so amazed.
Shen's father nodded. "Yang Qiong's skills are impressive. This bike will be fixed in no time. It's clear she's someone who's had to endure hardships."
"Uncle, am I skilled?" Yang Qiong playfully pointed to her nose.
"Mm, I haven't seen a girl as capable as you," Shen's father said, growing more fond of Yang Qiong. It was rare to find a girl who could endure hardship and wasn't pretentious.
Seeing the friendly banter between the older and younger individuals, Shen Qiuhua felt genuinely pleased. It was rare for them to get along so well, easing some of her worries.
The family of four had breakfast together, during which Shen's mother recounted the situation about the potential match her sister had mentioned. Shen Qiuhua listened quietly before speaking up, "Mom, I don't want to go."
"Why not?"
"I don't want to get married so soon. Do you want me to get married right away?" Shen Qiuhua blinked innocently, mimicking Yang Qiong's earlier behavior.
"You're a girl, and you'll have to marry eventually. It's better to have a settled home sooner so your father and I don't worry."
Shen Qiuhua was about to say more but was interrupted by Yang Qiong, who took her hand. "Since Uncle and Auntie want you to meet him, why not go and have a look? I'll go with you."
Shen Qiuhua looked at her in silence. Seeing an opportunity, Shen's mother immediately agreed, "Yes, let Yang Qiong accompany you and help you assess the situation."
At this point, Shen Qiuhua could already sense the underlying intentions of Yang Qiong's seemingly innocent suggestion. Her parents were naive if they thought Yang Qiong would merely provide advice.
The plan was set. Shen's mother made the call, and the potential match was eager to meet in the afternoon.
Shen's mother began to prepare Shen Qiuhua for the meeting, but Yang Qiong couldn't help but comment, "Auntie, Qiuhua is already as beautiful as a celestial being. If she gets dressed up more, she'll be out of this world."
