When Shen Qiuhua came back with another bowl of porridge, she saw Yang Qiong with a dazed expression and couldn't help but shake her head. It was quite a sight.

"Eat it yourself."

Yang Qiong took the bowl and watched as Shen Qiuhua turned and carried out the clothes they had taken off the previous day.

"Don't busy yourself!" Yang Qiong took a bite of the porridge, which was so hot it nearly made her eyes water. She quickly set the bowl on the bedside table.

"If you keep this up, I'm going to feel increasingly useless," Shen Qiuhua said as she approached the bed, only to be tackled by Yang Qiong. "What are you doing now?"

"The porridge isn't tasty, but you are," Yang Qiong said with a mischievous grin.

"Stop messing around," Shen Qiuhua said with a frown, clearly not in the mood for jokes.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Yang Qiong stopped joking and started checking Shen Qiuhua's clothing.

Shen Qiuhua lay down on her with a sigh and didn't resist. "Don't move around so much. My back hurts."

"Huh? Back pain?" Yang Qiong looked at her in confusion.

"It's because you didn't control yourself yesterday," Shen Qiuhua said with a hint of exasperation. Yang Qiong was trying to look innocent, which made Shen Qiuhua want to roll her eyes.

Yang Qiong genuinely didn't know and immediately lifted Shen Qiuhua and placed her next to herself. "It's my fault. I'll be more careful next time. Let me give you a massage."

"Do you think there will be a next time?" Shen Qiuhua said resentfully. Indeed, one shouldn't be too lenient. Ultimately, it was she who suffered. But Yang Qiong's hands were strong and the massage was incredibly soothing.

After enjoying the massage for a while, Shen Qiuhua stopped her. After all, Yang Qiong was still unwell, and it wasn't right to overexert her.

In the end, Shen Qiuhua ate the bowl of porridge, and the two embraced as they slept.

The day passed in this manner. When they woke up, the sky had darkened again. Yang Qiong's constitution was truly remarkable, after just one good sleep, she felt fully recovered and was now snuggling up to Shen Qiuhua.

"Get up and take a shower. You're covered in sweat," Shen Qiuhua said with a hint of distaste as she nudged her.

"Let's shower together," Yang Qiong asked with a pout.

"Go on, hurry up." Shen Qiuhua's tone suggested she was serious, and Yang Qiong quickly disappeared in a flash.

Shen Qiuhua stretched her arms. Yang Qiong's cold medicine probably had a sedative effect, which made her sleep very deeply. Unfortunately, she had suffered because Yang Qiong had been hugging her, causing her arm to fall asleep. She glanced at her hand and sighed silently.

Her hands were fair and delicate with long fingers, already a rare beauty. But from Shen Qiuhua's perspective, her hands had a significant flaw: the joints were a bit thick. Her original hands had never done heavy labor, which was evident from her past life. Such changes in bone structure due to growth were irreversible, so to her, these hands were not aesthetically pleasing.

If she were alone, she wouldn't mind so much. But in front of her beloved, like any other woman, hoped to be perfect in every aspect.

"One must gain and lose." Shen Qiuhua set aside these feelings, got out of bed, and walked to the window. Pulling back the curtain, she saw that the dim sky wasn't solely due to the time. Dark clouds were gathering, and it looked like it was about to rain.
