When they got home, Yang Qiong hugged her and asked, "This kind of thing is dangerous. Why did you get involved?"
"Isn't it because you're here?" Shen Qiuhua snuggled into her arms, acting coy. With a slight smile, she looked stunningly beautiful, so much so that Yang Qiong couldn't take her eyes off her.
"With you trusting me this much, the pressure is intense."
"I don't want to stay in my room worrying about you anymore. Life or death, I'll face it with you." She had never been afraid of death. Now that she no longer bore the burdens of the past, she dared to face any challenge.
Two days later, Yang Qiong received a call from Mr. Chen, saying that everything had been arranged with the school. Naturally, she didn't believe it so easily, so she called the principal, and sure enough, Principal Wang had approved their leave.
"What kind of connection is this?" Shen Qiuhua asked curiously.
"Money can work miracles," Yang Qiong smiled, packed her things, and left with Shen Qiuhua. A car Mr. Chen had sent was already waiting downstairs.
They got into the car. The driver was a young man with dark skin. Seeing them get in, he smiled and nodded, "Miss Yang and Miss Shen, right? Let me introduce myself. My name is Zhao Ming. The boss assigned me to be your dedicated driver. He said that if Miss Yang feels it's inconvenient, I can leave. Just call me when you need me, and I'll come right away."
"Thanks, man. Keep driving for now. I'll let you know if we need anything." Since a driver was available, Yang Qiong didn't plan to drive herself.
Zhao Ming handed them two phones, one for each. "The boss prepared these. They have some contacts saved, which might be useful."
Yang Qiong took hers but didn't hand the other to Shen Qiuhua immediately. She played with it for a while. "Does it have GPS installed?"
Zhao Ming started the car and said, "The boss figured Miss Yang would figure that out. It's for locating you both in case of emergencies. If you mind, you don't have to use them."
Yang Qiong fiddled with the phone a bit more but found no other issues. She then handed one to Shen Qiuhua. "Keep this. In case anything happens, you might need it."
Shen Qiuhua took it and put it in her bag, then turned to Zhao Ming, who was driving. "Mr. Zhao, you're very loyal to Mr. Chen, aren't you?"
Zhao Ming glanced at her through the rearview mirror, momentarily distracted. Wow, this woman is really beautiful, and the more you look at her, the prettier she gets. If I keep looking... no, I might crash if I do.
"I've been with the boss for over six months. He's always treated me well." Actually, Zhao Ming had started working for Mr. Chen after Yang Qiong left, so she didn't know him.
"Mr. Chen is indeed a good boss. Keep up the good work, Zhao." Yang Qiong had a talent for quickly bonding with strangers, something that made her the exact opposite of Shen Qiuhua.
The car gradually left the city, heading toward the suburbs.
"Where are we going?" Shen Qiuhua asked curiously, as the scenery outside grew increasingly unfamiliar.
"To the boss's villa. The young lady is there," Zhao Ming replied.
"It'll be a while. Do you want to take a nap? I'll wake you when we arrive." Having worked as Mr. Chen's personal bodyguard for years, Yang Qiong was very familiar with her former employer's home.
Shen Qiuhua shook her head. She didn't want to say too much in front of Zhao Ming, but in truth, she was curious about Mr. Chen and his daughter.
It took about an hour to reach their destination. As they got out of the car, they saw a luxurious villa standing before them.
