Chen Siqi was very anxious. She hadn't received any text messages or phone calls all day. She used to be afraid when she got messages, but now this anxiety was even more unbearable.

As she left her room, bodyguards swarmed in front of and behind her. This feeling of being surrounded by protection did nothing to make her feel safe. Seeing Shen Qiuhua and Yang Qiong downstairs leisurely sipping tea, watching TV, and occasionally chatting in a relaxed manner, made her furious.

"Yang Qiong, come up here!" she said, leaning on the railing, looking down at them.

Yang Qiong looked up and saw the small figure of Chen Siqi among the group of bodyguards. She couldn't help but laugh. The tea she had just drunk sprayed out before she could swallow it, causing her to choke.

Shen Qiuhua shook her head helplessly. So undignified.

After finally stopping her coughs, Yang Qiong looked up and said, "Miss Chen, just let me finish this episode first. It's especially mindless. Haha! It's killing me!"

Chen Siqi's small face turned red with anger. She knew Yang Qiong was doing it on purpose, but what could she do? Yang Qiong had been her father's bodyguard for a few years, and she couldn't deny her skills. Her eyes shifted to Shen Qiuhua.

"Shen Qiuhua, you come up!"

Shen Qiuhua looked up at her too. "Are you finally ready to tell the truth, Miss Chen?"

"I always speak the truth."

"Then we have nothing to discuss." Shen Qiuhua resumed watching TV.

"You... you're all paid by my dad!" Chen Siqi felt so wronged! She could let Yang Qiong's attitude slide, but why was Shen Qiuhua so arrogant too? Just because of her face?

"You, you, and you. Go bring that Shen woman to my room." Chen Siqi ordered three of the bodyguards in front of her.

The bodyguards were hesitant. They weren't as skilled as Yang Qiong and were just there to do their job. But Mr. Chen had instructed them not to interfere with the matters between the two women. So should they act or not?

Seeing them not moving, Chen Siqi shrieked, "Either go down and bring her up now, or pack your things and leave!"

Getting fired was serious business. The unfortunate bodyguards had no choice but to go downstairs. When they reached Shen Qiuhua, they didn't dare touch her but politely asked her to go upstairs.

Yang Qiong raised her eyebrow. "And what if she doesn't? Do you really dare to use force?"

The three bodyguards grimaced, almost on the verge of tears. Shen Qiuhua patted Yang Qiong on the shoulder. "Don't make it hard on them. They're just making a living. What's the point? I'll go up and talk to her. No need for you to come."

"How can that be?" Yang Qiong immediately flared up.

"She's just a little girl. Do you think I can't handle her?" Shen Qiuhua got up and went upstairs.

Yang Qiong watched the three bodyguards with frustration. "Call me if anything happens upstairs."

"Got it." The bodyguards jogged after Shen Qiuhua.

Yang Qiong picked up the remote and turned off the TV. Who'd want to watch such a brainless show anyway?

Chen Siqi, with a victorious attitude, watched Shen Qiuhua come upstairs. "See, you came up after all."

"I came up to comfort you. So that when you're alone and feeling lonely, your inner fear doesn't overwhelm you." Shen Qiuhua's face wore a smile. It wasn't mocking, it wasn't boasting, just a calm, gentle smile. But to Chen Siqi, this smile was unbearable. It felt like the woman in front of her was born superior, that her sense of pride didn't even need to be expressed. Even such an ordinary smile made others feel ashamed of themselves.
