As soon as she got home, Yang Qiong started wincing and sucking in cold air, immediately rummaging through the cabinet for medicine.

"What's wrong?" Shen Qiuhua was rarely used to seeing Yang Qiong like this.

"Stomachache," Yang Qiong replied while pulling out some painkillers.

Shen Qiuhua mentally counted the days and realized that it was Yang Qiong's time of the month. She swiftly snatched the painkillers from Yang Qiong's hand and tossed them back into the medicine box. "It's not good to take these. I'll make you some ginger tea."

Yang Qiong didn't want to trouble her, but a stern look from Shen Qiuhua shut her down.

"Go lie down on the bed and cover yourself with the blanket," Shen Qiuhua said, her face serious.

Obediently, Yang Qiong climbed into bed and lay down, the pain still gnawing at her. She knew she had brought it on herself. Normally, she didn't suffer like this, but she had been drinking iced drinks these past few days, and it must have chilled her stomach.

Before long, a steaming bowl of ginger tea, with a hint of brown sugar, was brought into the room. "Drink it while it's hot," Shen Qiuhua instructed, handing the bowl to Yang Qiong, her eyes unwaveringly fixed on her.

Yang Qiong had never been fond of ginger tea. Every time she saw Shen Qiuhua drink it so calmly, she couldn't understand it. She took a sip, and the sharp taste of ginger hit her, making it hard to swallow. However, under Shen Qiuhua's watchful gaze, she didn't dare put the bowl down or say she wouldn't drink it.

Forcing down the whole bowl, Yang Qiong stuck out her tongue, gasping for air. "It's so spicy!"

"You keep eating cold things, even knowing your period's coming. From now on, I'll make you a bowl of ginger tea every day. You need to take better care of yourself," Shen Qiuhua said, leaving no room for protest as she turned and headed off to wash the dishes.

"Wait, I..." Yang Qiong groaned, imagining a life filled with daily ginger tea- it seemed rather bleak.

When Shen Qiuhua came back in, Yang Qiong was tucked under the blankets, acting pitiful.

"Qiuhua, my stomach hurts. Can you rub it for me?" she asked.

Shen Qiuhua couldn't help but laugh. She climbed onto the bed and started rubbing Yang Qiong's lower abdomen. Even though Yang Qiong had drunk the ginger tea, her belly was still icy cold.

"Why are you so cold?" Shen Qiuhua frowned. "No more cold foods from now on."

"Okay," Yang Qiong didn't dare argue. Besides, she was feeling so comfortable being pampered by Shen Qiuhua that her whole body started feeling warm and fuzzy.

"Didn't it hurt when we were on the way home?" Shen Qiuhua asked, recalling that Yang Qiong hadn't shown any signs of discomfort earlier.

"No, it started right after we got out of the car. I think it's because I didn't break properly," Yang Qiong replied, beginning to feel the ginger tea's warmth spreading through her stomach.

After rubbing her belly for a while, Shen Qiuhua sighed, got up, and brought out a hot water bottle filled with warm water, placing it on Yang Qiong's lower abdomen. "This will feel better."

As she withdrew her hand, Yang Qiong grabbed it. "What's wrong?" she asked.

"Qiuhua, I'm so lucky to have you by my side," Yang Qiong said emotionally. In the past, she had always had to take care of herself during times like this.

Shen Qiuhua smiled and touched her forehead. "Yang Qiong, taking care of you is my duty as your wife. You've always taken care of me. It's rare for you to need my care." Her love was wholehearted, without complaint.
