"I never got the chance to ask you, but

"I never got the chance to ask you, but... what were you doing yesterday?" (Y/N) turned to Amar as they both waited for the final minutes of chemistry to be over. "It totally slipped my mind to ask you last night."

"Huh?" He glanced up at her in surprise, almost as if he wasn't expecting the question. "I... can't really tell you that right now."

"What?" She frowned. "Why not?"

"I just can't," he shook his head.

Amar then almost toppled out of his seat when (Y/N) suddenly grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him in, staring him in the eyes as if trying to peer right through them and straight into his soul. He swallowed thickly at that, and before he could even say anything, she gave him a disappointed look that almost cut right through him.

"Obviously you don't have to tell me everything, but there's something off about this," she started, worry creasing her brows.

"Well..." he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "I was preparing for something, but... Roselle showed up right in the middle." Exhaling heavily, his expression looking as if he were going to be sick, he continued, "I seriously don't know what she wants from me anymore."

Shit.

Roselle showed up at our house... was she able to tell that he wasn't there? That must explain why she suddenly went bacl to school.

That bitch.

"What did she do?" (Y/N) was practically seething at that point, fingers curling into fists that practically begged to punch Roselle right in her smug face. "What did she do?"

"She somehow was able to dig up dirt about you and the others," he explained, looking pained just from having to recount the details, especially because of a certain reason he wasn't sure he could explain to (Y/N) yet. "She said she'd spread it around unless I went out with her again. Unless... I stopped speaking with you, Kana, and Jess."

"Don't tell me..." (Y/N) pulled away from him, her (E/C) eyes wide. "You didn't agree to those ridiculous terms... right?"

"I had to... she'd hurt you if I didn't."

"But this is hurting you if you do this!"

The sudden ringing of the bell broke into their conversation and cut off anything else Amar was about to say, the last thing he did before exiting the room being flashing her a wry smile while the glimmer of hope in his gaze flickered out.

I... can't believe this.

I can't fucking believe this!

Standing up abruptly with her palms planted firmly on the table, glaring at the spot where Amar had disappeared out the door, she startled when a hand then placed itself on her shoulder due to her being so caught up in her thoughts. Glancing over her shoulder, she let out a breath when seeing that it was just Silvius standing there, his citrine eyes peering into her own with a look of curiosity crossing his features.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"I'm fine... you just wouldn't believe what Amar told me," (Y/N) collected herself enough to meet Silvius' gaze, her lips thinning as she then gestured with a jerk of her head for him to follow her, the two now walking down the hallway at a brisk pace with a set destination in mind. "I know that you're new here, but there are a few specific people that you shouldn't cross. One is Nicolai Orval. He's a dick, but he is also the son of the current headmaster, and holds a lot of power over what happens to who and how everything works. Another is Valen Tommie. His family is powerful, but it's his fan club that's the real problem."

"Fan club?" Silvius looked skeptical at that one, the look making her crack a small smile.

"Yeah... you also have one basically, but, since you tend to be a bit more cold to them, they stay out of your way," she shrugged with a small chuckle. "Anyways, Valen is practically the opposite of you since he flirts with most anybody that looks his way." She rolled her eyes at that, still kind of fazed on how he was a masked but famous pop star, continuing, "Anyway... the last person is Roselle Blanc. A one of a kind bitch who relies on her daddy's money to make sure everything goes her way."

"She's really that terrible?"

"Yes," she scowled. "Amar just told me now that yesterday Roselle threatened to leak very private information about our friend group unless he agreed to go out with her again."

"So... she's obsessed with getting him back because... she loves him?" He murmured, his eyes glazing over as he spoke that last bit.

"Fuck no!" (Y/N) curled her lips in distaste at the mere thought. "Roselle doesn't love Amar. She just wants to use him. I've known her long enough to know how she thinks, and right now, she sees Amar as an easy target. The only reason she's obsessing over having him particularly is because he's been the only one to break up with her. That's never happened before. She's usually the one to break up with her flings. The fact that she can't handle that shows just how immature and childish she really is."

"She doesn't love him... huh?"

"No, since if she really loved him, she wouldn't be doing this," she stopped walking, not even caring of the other students streaming past her in the halls. "Love is when you always want someone to be happy, when you enjoy spending time with them, and when you always put their needs before yours. That's it."

Silvius stared at her before smiling, uttering softly, "I see..."

"Now," (Y/N) turned to peek around the corner to where Roselle sat with Amar and her gaggle of follower—smack dab in the middle of the cafeteria in clear sight for anyone to see. "Let's find out how to ruin this bitch."
