Jess scowled at (Y/N) as soon as she walked through the door of AP Euro and saw her sitting down, immediately moving to the seat farthest from her so she wouldn't have to sit near her.

(Y/N) could only sigh.

Shit.

Amar tried comforting her, but with everyone's eyes on her after reading whatever text or social media thread that they were sent from their friends about the whole situation, she only felt worse, as if a lead weight were stuck in the out of her stomach. She didn't mean for everything to get so bad, and she cursed herself for not telling Jess sooner what an asshole Valen was, her cheeks burning when remembering that she had even let him comfort her after what happened with Roselle.

She crossed her fingers, hoping that everything would smooth over soon.

But the thought flamed quickly.

When Valen walked through the doors with that confident smirk that he always wore, his blue hair tousled to perfection, he still was able to receive heartfelt sighs and swoons directed toward him. He only had eyes for one person, though, and when noticing where she was sitting, made a direct beeline towards her to abruptly air down next to her. Jess gasped, red pooling in her cheeks whilst her eyes sharpened into a glare directed towards (Y/N).

(Y/N) in turn glared at Valen.

"Wow, as soon as I walk through the door, everyone seems to be looking at me," he laughed, undeterred by such attention since he was used to it by then. "Even you. What did I miss?"

"Valen, is it true you cheated on Jess with (Y/N)!?" A girl shouted out, silence washing over the room.

He blinked, surprised.

Then, he smiled.

"I would never cheat on Jess, or any girl for that matter," he placed a hand to his chest as he looked in each person's eyes, his kind expression believable to most everyone in the room. "Jess and I broke up quite a bit ago, but I guess she misunderstood my intentions. The only reason I started pursuing (Y/N) was because she helped me feel better after my breakup, and because she is just so kind. I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend."

(Y/N)'s jaw dropped, as did everyone else's jaws, including Jess' and Amar's.

"Isn't that right, (Y/N)?" He glanced over at her just as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder due to the fact that he scooted their desks more closer together than she would have liked.

"What the hell are you doing?" She hissed quietly under her breath, flicking her eyes over to Jess intermittently.

"What do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean," she growled. "How could you send her shit like that!?"

"I didn't do anything," he frowned, his eyes narrowing though since he knew exactly what (Y/N) was talking about and wondering who would choose to reveal something that he was sure he had kept quite private. "But since everything has come to light, I guess it's only fair to tell the truth."

"What truth!?"

"Me and you, of course," he then smirked.

Before she could retort him, another blushing girl came up to him and asked him if it was true that he was Valentine, only squealing and begging him for his autograph when he confirmed it. Soon enough, multiple people were coming up to him wanting his autograph, not caring about the rumors spread about him and Jess since it was more overshadowed by the fact that he was an actual celebrity.

They weren't going to pass up that chance.

As (Y/N) only shook her head in disgust and tried to move farther away from him, Mr. Oikawa walked into the room and immediately clapped his hands to settled everyone down. While most everyone did, Amar was a different story. If looks could kill, Valen would have been dead. The searing glare that he sent him almost made Roselle look better in comparison, hatred and contempt broiling within his mind ready to explode. Valen seemed to have felt it because when he excused himself to use the restroom and walked by Amar's desk, he sent him a smirk that made his hand tremble as he gripped them together tightly in a fist.

Valen almost laughed at the sight.

Even now, as he strolled down the hallway relaxingly, Amar's expression made him chuckle.

It's so obvious, it's amusing.

But to be her brother?

Well... I guess that aren't blood related, but still... it's so cliche it's amusing.

"Valen!" A voice shouted out, Valen turning to spot Jian who looked completely fine despite having proclaimed to be sick, a furious expression twisting his lips into a scowl.

"What?" He sighed, tilting his head. "Are you mad at me, too? And here I thought we were friends..."

"Is it true?" Jian instead demanded quite forcibly as soon as he was only mere feet from Valen, his silver eyes sharp and deadly. "Is it true that you and (Y/M) are dating? It can't be... it just can't. What the hell is going on here, Valen? Huh? Explain it to me."

"I don't have to tell you anything," he raised his hands as he shrugged.

"Valen," Jian snarled.

"Well, if I am being frank, how can I deny the truth?" He smirked.

In an instant, Jian took Valen by the collar of his shirt and shoved him against the wall, hating the fact that once more, he could do nothing for (Y/N). He had hoped that one day he'd be able to stay by her side as more than just a 'brother,' as more than just the one that saw her as his 'sister.' But that was before Valen decided to sweep in and steal his spot next to her away.

"And here I thought we were friends," Jian spat in parallel to what Valen had spoken only moments earlier, his hands tightening on the other's collar before eventually releasing his grip. "Stay the fuck away from her."

"And why should I?" Valen hummed, not the least bit threatened as he swiped at his shirt. "She's mine, so why should I stay away from something that's mine... hm?"
