(Y/N) was still wary when it came to Valen, but she wasn't just going to turn down free concert tickets, so she invited Jess that Friday night to go with her to see him as Valentine. Having already asked their guardians for permission, the two then took off in Jess' car to the stadium where the concert was taking place.

"I still can't believe someone just gave you Valentine tickets for free," Jess shook her head as she pulled into to the parking lot.

"What can I say?" (Y/N) gave a vague shrug. "I'm just full of surprises."

"Sure," Jess rolled her eyes whilst elongating the word for effect. "Anyways, I'm surprised you brought me along instead of Kana. When she hears that you didn't, you know she's gonna flip, right?"

"Well, it's my apology to you," she smiled as they walked into the concert venue.

Jess looked a little surprised by the statement, however didn't question it as she instead gave (Y/N) a smile of her own whilst leading them to their seats. Already, the stadium was packed full of fans that they had to slightly push through to get to their seats, all chattering away excitedly as they waited for the man of the evening to appear. Almost as soon as (Y/N) and Jess moved to settle in, the lights suddenly switched out and the swell of everyone's voices crescendoed into a scream as a spotlight flashed down on the stage below. Valen stood below decked out in his usual red attire that he donned for shows, but his hair was now a pitch black instead of its usual blue shade.

(Y/N) tilted her head at that.

That's... odd.

Well, he did say he was announcing something this evening, so maybe it's for that?

Strobing lights and smoke started up just as Valen began his first song, the band being lit up on different colored sections of the stage while backup dancers swathed both sides of him. Everyone started jumping up and dancing to the music that was almost defeating in the loud stadium, (Y/N) and Jess included, but no one cared. They were having too much fun to concern themselves over something as trivial as that. Finally, after three songs that overlapped each other ended, the music softened and the lighting dimmed while the fans all around screamed in joy.

(Y/N) was confused, however soon realized after catching snippets of what other people were saying that this was a new song that just released. What was more, this would be the first time he would be performing it live in front of an audience. Though she had never listened to Valen's music before even though Kana recommended it to her countless times, she had become a bit of a fan. His voice matched well with the lyrics and the melody of the songs that he sang, each one more beautiful than the last that wrote out a different story of love that made anyone who listened to it swoon.

What she didn't understand was how he was able to compose such touching music, however chose to quiet the questions that swarmed her mind as Valen continued to sing.

"Everything about her makes me fly... and everything about her makes me cry..."

(Y/N) swayed along with his words, wondering if he had made that song for Jess, hoping that he did even though the idea sounded far fetched.

"Yet I'll adore her... for all time."

As the last of the song came to a close, the strumming of the guitar making its final tune sweep across the crowd, everything came to a hush as people stood with hands pressed to their lips in clear awe. It wasn't long before such a performance drew a thunderous applause for the audience, (Y/N) even able to spot a few who had cried during the event.

"Thank you, everyone," Valen spoke into his earpiece, his smile bright and reflecting in the stage lights. "But now... I would like to dedicate that last song to someone very special."

(Y/N)'s eyes widened as the audience shifted and whispered in hushed voices.

A special someone?

Is he talking about... Jess?

Almost barely breathing from the excitement she felt, she almost jumped out of her skin in shock when a hand was placed on her shoulder. Glancing up, she saw that Jess was looking at her with concern in her warm brown eyes, asking her if she were alright and looking still worried even when giving a confirmation that she was. (Y/N) just couldn't help her excitement, as her friend's happiness was her happiness, and she couldn't wait to see the look on Jess' face.

Will he show her that he's Valen on stage?

I wonder what her reaction will be!

Just as these thoughts swam through her mind, Valen called out, "This song sung just now is dedicated to a one, (Y/N)(L/N). She will be in row 12, seat 347. Please escort her up here to the stage so I can meet with her."

Said girl almost fell over in shock.

The fuck is he doing!?

Elongating the word in disbelief in her mind, already seeing Jess looking at her in confusion and a bit of understanding—What the hell is she understanding here!?—(Y/N) was forced by the security team that swarmed the area to vacate her seat and trudge up to the stage, already feeling awkward when many prying and somewhat envious gazes looked upon her.

Finally stopping in front of Valen, she whispered, "What the hell are you doing!?"

"Isn't it obvious?" He smirked.

Instantly, he closed the last bit of distance in between them by placing his hands on her hips and drawing her in close, his lips falling onto hers that made the whole audience erupt in commotion. She was shocked. Jess' boyfriend was kissing her, in front of Jess. Before she could make any move to push him away, he pulled away first and then did something she never expected him to do: he removed his mask to let the whole world see his face. Yet he didn't look at all the same. His features were made to look different than what he normally looked like, however he didn't look any less handsome.

"This girl is someone very special to me," he placed one hand to his heart while the other was around (Y/N)'s shoulder to pull her closer. "And I want her to know that, which is why I revealed my face tonight. She will be my only one... and no one else could ever be mine."

At his speech, most of the audience sighed at how romantic it was, but (Y/N) knew better.

He... did this on purpose.

Because he knows that Jess would never be able to recognize him.

Meaning she'd never believe me.
