Silvius was shaking with rage when he heard the flourish of rumors surrounding Valen and (Y/N) after he had leaked information about the two of them to Jess. Sure, he could tell that the relationship between the two was even more strained than it was before, but the drawbacks overwhelmed the small ounces of victory he felt in the outcome. For instance, every single student thinking that Valen and (Y/N) were a couple.
Silvius despised even thinking of that.
He knew that (Y/N) was his and his alone since she was the first person at that school that he could stand, along with being the first person since her that consumed his thoughts as much in school as outside of school.
He craved her.
He wanted her.
He desired her more than anything.
But now something—someone—was in his way, and he had to do something to rid himself of such an aggravating obstacle.
But what could he do?
As much as he hated to admit it, Valen had money and resources that rivaled his own, so he could surely protect himself against one of his peers if he so chose to quite efficiently. While he had no trouble dealing with this type of person before, Valen was a well known person through not just his family's name, but his influence as a musician. If he were to die so suddenly after a huge scandal such as the one concerning (Y/N), she and everyone else he was close to would be investigated.
That would include Silvius, too.
While he was quite confident in his skills at covering up any crimes he committed, he knew he wouldn't be able to fool everyone.
Currently, he was scowling at his canvas that was smeared with black and gold paint as he tried to formulate a plan that would effectively free him of the pest known as 'Valen Tommie.' Trying to calm the sea of red that was in front of his vision, knowing that he shouldn't be hasty if he wanted to succeed in getting rid of Valen, he was startled when someone poked him in the shoulder.
"Are you alright?" (Y/N) asked with a raised brow, her easel right next to his.
"Yeah... I'm fine," he responded stoically, not letting the turbulence of emotions that crashed through him show on his face. "Just... thinking."
"Your thoughts must be pretty violent," she hummed as she nodded toward his painting.
Glancing at the smearing of colors that he had painted, the gold and black hues now washed with a red color that could only be described as looking like blood, he let out a small exhale of breath when knowing that he would have to start over. Replacing his board with a new, fresh one, he started back at square one with the project he was working on.
My thoughts must be violent, she says...
She has no idea.
"So..." (Y/N) started again as she in turn looked at her work. "...what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"You're always very precise in what you do—whether it be drawing, painting, or sketching—but here is the first time you messed up," she pointed out, shooting him a glance from the corner of her eye. "And this project is going to be presented next week to the entire school. Obviously something is troubling you. So, can I ask what?"
Silvius didn't say anything for a moment.
What could he tell her?
The truth?
The truth being that he was absolutely obsessed with her and would do anything for? The truth that he so badly wanted to kill Valen for even daring to soil her name with his?
Yeah, right...
Like that would go over well...
Yet even as he thought this, an instinct within him forced him to stop what he was doing and turn his head so that their gazes clashed, lips opening to say, "You are troubling me. Your relationship... with that thing is troubling me. What even are those rumors? You can't be dating him, right? You'll push him away, right? You don't belong with him... you never have... so why are their rumors about you and him? Shouldn't you be with me? Haven't you and I always been... what should be?"
As all of Silvius' emotions and heartaches surrounding (Y/N) were spilt, he watched as her expression slowly morphed into one of shock.
He couldn't take it.
He couldn't take that look.
Slamming his brush down on the easel, he swiped up his bag and abruptly left the room, leaving her before she could say anything—or even worse, before she rejected him. Everything would come crashing down if she rejected him, too. After her, after he finally got over her, and after he had finally opened his heart up to (Y/N), wishing that he could only see her as a friend even though he knew it wasn't true, if she rejected him, he didn't know what he'd do.
As he rushed out of the school, tempted to practically lunge into his car and drive away, his hand faltered before it could grab the handle. He didn't want to leave, not yet, not when he still so badly wanted to see and watch over (Y/N). Letting out a breath to calm himself down once more, he climbed into his car and drove out onto the street outside of the school, parking along the curb and waiting. When the bell finally rang and (Y/N) finally exited the building to begin her walk to school, he was ready.
He was ready to take her, to claim her as his.
As his car followed her from a distance, waiting until then had entered the more rural neighborhood that she had to pass through, he was about to accelerate and take her when someone shouting her name drew his attention away. Amar was running up to her, yelling at her to wait for him, and when he finally caught up, the two walked back home. Silvius banged his hands on the steering wheel, seething.
But he knew.
He knew he'd get his chance soon.
And then...
Then you won't be able to reject me, (Y/N).
