"Could I... perhaps deal with Roselle on my own?" Silvius asked as he bent over (Y/N) who by then had crouched down near the corner of a wall to spy on Roselle and Amar.

"Deal with her on your own?" She looked back at him, her brows furrowed with confusion. "Why?"

"It would just be easier that way."

Frowning at his lack of an answer, she then turned back to the scene of Roselle and Amar, something that made her want to puke. She knew that she needed Silvius' help, especially with how miserable Amar looked sitting there. Heaving out a rather long and dramatic sigh, she stood up and faced Silvius whom she knew would be a good friend, and nodded in approval.

With that, he strode out into the cafeteria.

She watched as Roselle's cheeks flushed at being singled out by the new boy that had already garnered many peoples attention just from his looks only, not to mention how wealthy and influential both of his parents were. She watched as he led Roselle out of the cafeteria with hushed whispers swirling around them of already burning gossip. Smiling at how effective Silvius was, she pulled out her phone and texted Amar to leave the table. Meanwhile, Silvius led Roselle through the halls of Florens Academy with a single goal in mind: to get her to break up with Amar.

Usually he wasn't like this.

Doing something like this on a whim for someone he barely knew.

However, (Y/N) was the first person at this damned school that he could actually talk to without any restraints. Usually, people were vying for his attention due to his looks, his money, or whatever they thought of that could satiate their greed.

She didn't do any of that.

True, he at first thought she was like so many others whom he had met before who tried to act indifferent to him, but really weren't and were planning something behind his back. However, he soon learned that he was very much wrong, and she actually tried not to involve herself with people like him. But that didn't mean she was rude about it either, and kept her distance when he pulled away.

He liked that about her.

He liked that she was someone who didn't look at anything else but the person in front of her.

Snapping clear of his wandering thoughts, Silvius pushed open one of the doors that led to a rather private section of the school—an empty lot that had no windows facing it, and where people rarely ever parked since it was so far out of the way of anything—and gestured with a jerk of his head for her to follow him out.

"So... why did you lead me all the way out here?" Roselle asked a bit nervously, obviously not as naive as she was initially thought to be, but enough so that she ignored the warning bells in her head. "You said you... you wanted to tell me something?"

"Yeah," he pressed his hands into his pockets as he stared straight at her. "I want you to break up with Amar."

She blanked.

Her whole face, once lit up with a teenage girl's hope and curiosity of a confession, dropped into a mask of both disappointment and irritable anger.

"What?" She snapped, her crystalline eyes narrowing while her shaped lips thinned into a sharp line. "You called me out here for this? To demand that I break up with my boyfriend... and for what? Do you like him or me or something? Is that what it is? Or did someone put you up to this?"

"He's a friend of a friend, and I happen to think of myself as someone that goes out of their way to help his friends," Silvius proclaimed vaguely.

Roselle let out a scoff as she brushed her bangs from her face so she could press the pads of her fingers against her forehead, letting out a bark of laughter before straightening and saying, "This is because (Y/N) said something to you, right? Yeah... fucking Amar must've told her and she then turned to you for help." The expression that she wore soon morphed into one of pity and belittling as she then said, "What a good, loyal dog you are then. What did you say? That you were her friend so you're helping her? That's bullshit."

"Oh, really?" Silvius lifted his chin, the cold look in his eyes never fading.

Roselle took a step back as her confidence wavered, however hardening her features to then proclaim, "Yes. (Y/N) is a manipulative bitch. She convinced Amar to break up with me because of issues that all couples face. And now... now she's trying to do it again because she can't stand to see him happy! She's always loathed him... I know she does because he has parents and she doesn't."

Silvius faltered when he heard that, the new information about the one that he had become curious about so unexpected that he almost let it show on his face.

Almost.

Striding towards Roselle until he towered over her by barely standing three feet away, he said in a chilling voice, "I really don't care what you think. If you don't end things with Amar as per (Y/N)'s request, I will break every single bone in your body. First your legs, so you can run, then your arms, so you can't struggle. One by one, your fingers and toes just for the fun of it. Then finally, your neck. What kind of money you hail from doesn't bother me. I have more than enough of that to cover up anything I want."

Roselle could feel herself pale as he bent down so that they were at eye level, the look in his eyes chilling the very blood in her veins.

"Get it?"

He said such a looming threat so calmly that if anyone where to observe their interaction from afar, they'd think it was just two classmates meeting up for a secret rendezvous that didn't end with anything spectacular. It was only when Roselle sank to the floor on her knees after Silvius walked away that they would have known something was wrong.

But of course, no one was there.
