Walking into the Japanese classroom, (Y/N) immediately spotted Amar and Kana deep in conversation whilst looking at her phone, their expressions showing worry and concern yet when glancing up to see her approach, tried to look as if nothing were wrong.

She frowned at that.

"What's up, guys?" She asked hesitantly as she slid into her seat, her brows furrowed.

"Nothing," Kana smiled, the look however strained and highlighting the dark bags that rested underneath her eyes—something that suggested she hadn't been sleeping well. "Just some family drama. Nothing to worry about."

"Okay..." she trailed off, not convinced.

Clearing his throat, Amar directing their attention to himself, he then said, "What's more worrying is you, (Y/N)."

"Huh?" She was taken aback.

Me?

What is he talking about?

"You've been hanging around some... people that don't exactly have the best reputation," he muttered as he glanced toward Jian, one of the people case in point that he was speaking about, his eyes narrowing in what looked to be spite. "Especially that Nicolai guy. I've seen how violent his temper is and how prone he is to fight those that so much as don't greet him properly..."

"He isn't as bad as you think," (Y/N) defended him, wincing when knowing she had acted just like Amar was now when not knowing any better.

"Is he?" He didn't believe her, his dark eyes searching her own even as class started and their conversation had to drop to a whisper. "Is he really different from what everyone says about him? What I've seen even about the way he acts? And it's not just him. It's Valen, too. I don't like the way he acts around you even though he's dating Jess. In fact, I was against them dating at all in the first place."

At his words, his observations, she felt as if her blood had chilled.

He knows.

He knows, doesn't he?

Why would he say something like that if he didn't know?

When seeing her reaction, Amar knew that his intuition was right when it came to Valen, parting his lips to continue, "He did something, didn't he? What did he do? You can tell me... you can tell me anything, (Y/N). Just please... tell me what has been going on with these people."

What is going on?

How did this whole mess with Valen start?

I can't tell Amar though.

He'll tell Jess, and she... she'll be crushed by that news. She wouldn't believe me, either.

I wish...

I wish I could just fucking strangle Valen.

Placing the palms of her hands against the table to stand up, she excused herself to the bathroom before her teacher could say anything. She could feel Amar's gaze burning through her as she walked away, wishing that he wouldn't snoop any further into such subjects that she wished to keep secret. It wasn't like she was planning to kiss Valen. He was the one who kissed her in front of Jess whom he proclaimed as his girlfriend, and then had the gall to announce that he had feelings for her!

This is too confusing.

Storming into the bathroom quite abruptly and startling the other girl that had just finished drying her hands, (Y/N) gripped the edge of the sink and stared at her reflection in the mirror. Even though her expression was twisted into one of confusion and guilt, she looked the same as always. She looked the same even though she knew that the boy Jess was serious about wasn't serious about her.

It hurt her.

But what can I do?

Say something and hurt her... or not say something and risk hurting her in the future?

That fucking dick...

Why did I think he was good for Jess?

I knew he wasn't... but because she was so sad about him, I didn't even stop to think.

But why me?

I know for sure that he's never done what he's done with me before...

But I know he doesn't care for me, either.

"Fucking dammit!" She yelled to no one in particular as she threw her hands up, feeling as if she were going around in circles from her situation.

Splashing some cool water on her face to simmer down her irritation at the fact, she dried herself off before exiting the bathroom and walking straight into the boy that she was so angry with. Immediately, her brows and lips twisted downward so that she was actively glaring at Valen while scowling too.

"Woah!" He raised his hands in a defensive manner whilst taking a half-step back. "What's got you so mad?"

"I can't believe you!" She hissed as she stalked closer to him, digging a finger harshly into his chest. "You have the nerve to continue seeing Jess after what you did! And now... and now you think you can continue to act friendly with me!?"

"I told you I had a surprise for you that night," he smirked, unfazed by her vehement hatred.

"I thought you meant for Jess!"

"Wasn't it a surprise for her too, though?" He tilted his head innocently. "Seeing one of her good friends with a celebrity must be quite shocking... especially since it wasn't too long ago that you were called up to stage at my last concert."

"I avoided you and Jess because of what you did..." she stepped away from him and directed her gaze to the floor. "You kissed me... and you're her boyfriend. Do you know how disgusted I feel? Do you know how miserable Jess will be if she ever finds out about what you did?"

"Who cares?" Valen sighed as he blew a strand of his blue hair out of his face.

Reeling back in shock from his rather cruel and uncaring words, that feeling quickly faded as (Y/N) wound her arm back and socked him in the jaw, watching as he staggered back in surprise whilst cupping his now wounded face.

"Stay away from me, asshole," she snapped as she walked away. "And Jess, too, for that matter, or else you'll get worse than a bruised jaw."

Valen gazed after her, shocked.

Then, he smiled.

You never cease to amuse me, (Y/N).

I hope we can continue to have our fun.
