His voice was dull and flat, neither unhappy nor angry.

Diana couldn't keep a smile on her face and a slight frustration could be easily detected through her eyes.

A touch of coldness gradually grew in her eyes. She immediately bit her lip until they turned white and said in a low voice, "I told mom you were married."

A cold glint flashed through Lisa's eyes, but he was not angry.

Sensing his displeasure, Diana quickly walked around the table to his side and hugged his neck like a spoiled child. "Lis, when you told me to go to the Maldives, I already knew that you wanted to leave me, but I still obeyed. I believe you will not disappoint me! But I did not expect-."

She paused, her eyes turning red, and her voice also became choked with sobs, "You actually went to register your marriage with Jennie! Didn't Nancy say that the woman is not a good person? She must have wanted to use your influence to become Young Madam Manoban!"

"Since when have you've listening to Nancy's words?" Lisa's voice was neither warm nor fiery, but he interrupted her at the right time. He pulled her hand away from his neck.

Diana's eyes trembled as she looked at her already drawn hand.

She could tell that Lisa did not seem to like hearing about Nancy.

She bit her lip and stepped back, no longer bothering him.

Diana always had a sense of decency. Although sometimes she will act like a spoiled child with Lisa, she also knew when to obey and quietly stand by his side.

She was raised in the Manoban Family, and since her grandfather died in the battle to save General Manoban, her Family had always been under the care of the Manoban Family. Her father had died earlier, and she was adopted by General Manoban as soon as she was born.

Ever since she could remember, she had often heard General Manoban saying that she would be his granddaughter-in-law when she was an adult. Although Lisa, who was five years older than her, did not agree verbally, he did not wholly refuse.

Every time Lisa heard the General Manoban mention their marriage, he would just laugh at it.

They both grew up together. Furthermore, Lisa had always been aggressive towards his sister, Somi, but he was very kind to her.

Whenever Somi bullied her, he would always hide her behind his back and chase that naughty sister of him away.

Lisa was always kind, pampered and loved her, never letting her suffer.

Diana was certain that Lisa liked her.

She had heard that Lisa had an unforgettable relationship when he was studying in Boston. She also didn't know why his heart died in the end.

She was more confident that Lisa was destined to be her husband in this lifetime, and as long as she married him, she would be a true part of the Manoban Family.
