Jennie thought about how she bought a shirt for GD. No matter how sad, threatening, and seductive he was, she should not be swayed by GD's hidden guilt. In the end, she fell into his damn trap!

Jennie should have realized that GD had always used this technique since they were little. She should have learned a bitter lesson when he had bullied her, but she had already forgotten about that in the blink of an eye ...

Jennie lowered her head and looked at her knees. She turned her head to look at Lisa again while enduring the pain.

Lisa didn't even spare a glance at her and maintained his steady control of the steering wheel. He was obviously very close to her, and they were only separated by a handheld distance. It was unknown if it was due to psychological effects, but the estrangement between them was even stronger.

Jennie only came back to her senses when she heard the sound of a car's horn coming from all directions. She abruptly raised her head to look at the busy crossroads of H City.

Lisa was still cold and detached. She had been with him for so long. She knew that when he was usually serious, he would usually act more amiably than others. Still, whenever he was with her, he always treated her warmly and often trusted her.

Jennie thought for a moment and looked at the watch on her wrist. She couldn't help but try to find a topic to talk about. "Have you had lunch?"

Lisa ignored her as the car slowly moved forward. However, the driver of the car in front of them seemed to be a novice.

Seeing that the green light was about to go out, Lisa slightly frowned. When the car finally sped up, and when Lisa's car was about to accelerate, he suddenly braked.

The green light had gone out, another red light.

Jennie leaned forward at the braking motion, then bounced back against the seat. Luckily she wore a seatbelt. If not, her head might have hit the windshield.

The person beside her remained calm and collected as if he was sitting on air.

Jennie took a deep breath and slowly calmed her temper. This was a small matter. She did not know why Lisa was so angry with her. She looked back at him again. "Lisa, are you not busy today?"

No response, no movement, no sound.

"Is the company okay?" She kept asking without feeling discouraged.

"Lis." Jennie looked at his face.

Lisa glanced at her.

That glance was as tranquil as a pool of water.

She stared at him for a few seconds until another red light appeared in front of them and he braked again.

"Ah!" Jennie was wearing a safety belt, but because she leaned her head to the side and kept looking at him, her body leaned forward too much. Her head hit on the dashboard, causing her to cover her head in pain as she hurriedly retracted her body.

Out of the corner of her eye, Jennie saw Lisa's hands hanging in the air as if he wanted to help her, but he instantly retracted them without a trace.

With a straight face, he continued to control the steering wheel without saying a word.

Jennie helplessly rubbed her head and muttered, "Where did all these red lights come from?!"

There was still no response.

Jennie was extremely worried and a little distressed. She raised her hand and lightly tugged on his sleeve without affecting his driving. "Lis, say something?"
