'This bastard's temper is really big!'

Jennie glared at his back as she walked into the house and slammed the door shut. She walked straight towards GD, but just as she arrived outside his study, she stopped in her tracks and looked in surprise at the chaos in his study.

The floor was littered with open files, folders, brown paper bags, binder, two laptops, one on the floor, one on the table, both on, one shown email pages and company data censorship software, the other one showing video conferences with other shareholders around the world.

Her eyelids twitched. She didn't expect that GD would be so busy.

Knowing that she hadn't left, GD didn't bother with her. He just sat down at the table and tapped the keyboard with his fingers. It was as if he didn't go out for a few days and only temporarily used his study as an office, and didn't take his problem with Jennie seriously.

Actually, this is also good ...

Jennie initially had a lot of questions she wanted to ask, but it seemed she should not bother GD anymore. She stood at the door of the study, watched him ignore her, then smiled at his figure before quietly leaving.

As soon as she reached the door, even before she could touch the doorknob, Jennie suddenly heard a loud sound of something crushing the ground. She was startled and stopped in her tracks, abruptly turning her head to look at the door to the study.

Jennie stopped at the door and looked doubtfully at the laptop lying on the floor that had been smashed in the middle. She raised her head and looked at GD in shock. "What are you doing?"

GD just stood there, staring at her with cold, expressionless eyes.

"I know you're furious, you can vent whatever temper you have on me! You don't have to hold yourself back like this!" Jennie fearlessly met his dark eyes.

GD looked at her with a smile. "You want me to vent? I'm really afraid that you won't be able to handle my temper!"

After saying that, he didn't hesitate to step on the broken laptop as he headed to Jennie.

However, he simply walked past her to the living room and picked up a cigarette box from the tea table. After a moment, he lit a cigarette, stood by the French window, and silently exhaled the white smoke.

In her memory, although GD smoked, he rarely smoked. Jennie went to him and saw that there were already more than ten empty cigarette boxes in the basket beside the tea table. She then looked at the countless cigarette butts in the glass ashtray on the table.

Jennie had always thought that GD only liked her on the spur of the moment, or just liked her temporarily, or because she had challenged him when she refused him. Therefore, she had always been stubborn, but she had never thought that GD's feelings for her were so deep.

Liaa said that during the four days she had been unconscious, GD had been sitting outside the ward, not even saying a word. He didn't leave until he heard that she had passed through the dangerous period.

Jennie could not imagine that a man like GD, who had been able to do whatever he wanted since he was young, would be able to endure things like this.

Since the day GD punched Lisa, he hadn't appeared again. At first, Jennie thought he was mad at her, but it seemed like he had been working non-stop in the study room for days. He hadn't even changed his clothes, nor did he try to pester her or call her.

Jennie silently stared at the ashtray full of cigarette butts.

Only after a long time had passed did she finally raise her eyes and look at him. In the end, all she could say was two words that even she felt powerless. "I'm sorry."

"I just don't understand." With his back facing her, his voice carried a sneer, "Why is it so late?! If I come back two months earlier, everything might change."

"But why am I two months late?" GD muttered to himself indifferently, "Jennie, I've been looking for you for seven years, but what you gave me after seven years was like this. Tell me, what is this?"

Jennie silently looked at him. She wanted to say something, but she was unable to speak.

"That day at the hotel, you didn't push me away because you were drunk. Did you take me for Lisa?"

Jennie responded to his question with silence. GD turned around and coldly stared at her with his sharp black eyes. "Do you think your silence can solve everything?"

"I don't know what to say. I just want to see you vent your anger. If that doesn't work out, you can hit me like you did with Lisa the other day."

GD took a deep breath, and his hand that was holding onto the cigarette started to tremble. He rolled his eyes and said, "You really have the power to make people die from anger!"

GD walked to the tea table and pressed the tip of his cigarette into the ashtray. He let out a long breath and looked at her condescendingly.

Seeing his unfriendly expression, Jennie knew that she had indeed let him down.

"You are in such a good mood." For some inexplicable reason, GD suddenly laughed coldly. He looked at her with disdain and said these words.

She was stunned. "What?"

"Don't think that I don't know what you're thinking. Just because you stand there like an apologetic puppet, don't think that I will forgive you. Do you think after I finish venting my anger, you can continue living a carefree and happy life?" GD suddenly narrowed his eyes and slightly bent down. The usually alluring peach blossom eyes were now staring straight at her eyes like an eagle.

Jennie's mouth twitched, and she felt as if someone had seen through her.

"No! You think too much." She explained with a serious expression and then nodded affirmatively, using her eyes to express her 'sincerity'.

"Tch ..." GD coldly scolded, "Don't think that I don't know what you've had in your mind. Now that I've finished venting, let me tell you ..."

GD narrowed his eyes, his handsome face suddenly closing in on her face. Just as Jennie was about to take a step back, he gripped her waist tightly. His oppressive gaze did not allow her to take a single step back as he bent his head and whispered into her ear, "I ...Will..Not...Let..You..Go!"

Jennie was speechless. She immediately rolled her eyes and pushed him away forcefully.

GD let go of her. With her strength, he took two steps back. His eyes were filled with a calm and cold smile.

"I've never been here before!" She turned around and left without looking back.

"Don't blame me for not reminding you...Lisa isn't suitable for you! It's not good for you to be stubborn! Don't make the same mistake as your mother. You will lose everything in the end!" GD didn't stop her.

This time, his tone of voice didn't contain any ice-cold intent. It was as if he was narrating a fact. However, it caused Jennie to suddenly stop in her tracks.

She looked at him and smiled. "I, Jennie Kim, have nothing to begin with, so I'm not afraid of losing!"

With that, she left the house without looking back.

Staring at her straight and fearless back, GD's gaze gradually turned gentle. The instant the door closed, he sighed softly. "But I'm afraid that you will lose."
