Jennie stared at his face, which was as beautiful as nature, with suspicion in her eyes. Lisa brought her into the room and pushed her out of sight. Then he put his hand down and started rummaging through the drawers.

"What are you doing?" she whispered in confusion.

He simply turned his head to the side and glanced at her without saying a word.

Jennie came to a realization. Did he do all this to make Diana retreat? He clearly said that this marriage was just to shut the people's mouth and had nothing to do with love, but even so, he still respected this marriage. At the very least, wouldn't it make things difficult if there was a third party between them?

She quietly watched him close the drawer. She felt a bit funny, but at the same time, she felt touched.

Was Lisa defending her?

Even if he was being kind to her, she had truly accepted his kindness in her heart.

Jennie smiled at him from the bottom of her heart.

Lisa closed the drawer again and turned to look at her casually. "The Old Master affirmed the marriage between Diana and me. You must be prepared when we go to the Mansion this weekend."

Jennie nodded. "I know."

His calm gaze lingered on her face, then he walked out.

"Jennie has a fever? Is it serious? Does she need to go to the hospital?" Chitthip's concerned voice came from the living room.

"It's not a serious fever, just let her rest early today." Lisa said indifferently, as he looked at Diana, "How's grandpa's health?"

Diana had been standing there in a daze the entire time. When she heard Lisa talk to her, she immediately raised her head and a sweet smile quickly appeared in her seemingly well-trained eyes. "Grandpa's body is fine, but he really missed you. Lis, are you going back at the Mid-Autumn Festival this weekend?"

Seeing him nod, Diana immediately became happy. "Really? Then I must tell grandpa about this good news sooner!"

"Mm, tell the old man that Jen will come with me too. We will both spend the Mid-Autumn Festival together."

The smile in Diana's eyes disappeared in the blink of an eye. She looked at Lisa in shock, but when she saw his calm expression, she couldn't help but uttered a low "oh".

"It's a little late. You better go back. Since the old man likes you, then don't stay outside too long and go home earlier." Lisa said softly.

"I want to stay here with mom for a few more days." Diana approached the silent Chitthip. She seemed to have found the strongest reason to used and was brimming with smiles.
