Lian walked into the room and cast a glance at Jennie. She slowly walked to the sofa and said, "Are you letting your daughter and me out for a walk so you can bring this girl here?"

"Lian, I'm talking with Jennie. You guys go upstairs first." Jihoon didn't expect the mother and daughter pair to return so quickly.

"Why should we avoid her?" Without waiting for Lian to speak, Nancy suddenly glared at Jihoon with an ugly expression.

"Dad, what do you mean by this?! Why did you bring this little bitch back? Didn't she make you lose enough face last night?"

"Nancy!" Jihoon's face was filled with displeasure as he frowned and scolded her. "With whom are you behaving atrociously? I spoilt you too much, didn't I?!"

Jennie, on the other hand, had an expressionless face as she glanced sideways at Nancy's angry face.

Bitch?

Losing face?

If it wasn't for her, Nancy, suddenly exposing her own father in such an occasion last night, how could Jihoon lose face? Jennie couldn't help but admire Nancy for always being able to get rid of everything that was her fault and put the blame on others.

Ordinary people wouldn't be as shameless as her to push matters onto someone else after she had done something stupid.

Only Nancy would probably have this kind of ability.

"Dad! In this house, there was only me! I am your only daughter! I can't stand watching her standing there! You decide it yourself! Me or this bitch!" Nancy stomped her feet with an ugly expression on her face and turned to leave.

"Nancy! Mom will always be on your side." Lian suddenly said. After that, she viciously glared at the ashen-faced Jihoon and prepared to leave with her daughter.

"Can the two of you ..." Jihoon was about to go berserk.

"None of you need to leave. I have no intention of returning to this house! Don't worry, you don't need to worry about me threatening your daughter and her position."

Jennie looked at Nancy with an indifferent expression, as if she had won a victory in her eyes. She said indifferently, "After fighting for more than twenty years, I really can't see how this man's fatherly's love is worth such a fight. I'm afraid that even you yourself know what kind of situation you were born in and what kind of trash your mother is."

Nancy's expression stiffened, while Lian's expression changed slightly as well.

"Don't think that everyone is like you guys, to think that you people are so stupid as to think so highly of yourselves. I simply disdain the things that you guys care about. I will never enter this Family gate again in my life."

Finishing her words, Jennie ignored Nancy's clamor and Jihoon's attempt to stop her. She stepped out of the door, leaving without looking back.

When she returned to the Marriott Hotel, it was already noon. Jennie checked her phone in front of the entrance but found no phone call or text message. Just as she was about to get inside her room, her phone rang.

When she looked at the call list and saw Secretary Du's name, she felt a little disappointed. She looked back at the closed door of 1909 and answered the call.

"Hello, Secretary Du?"

"MissKim, President told me to pass on the message to you, if the bruise on your wrist still hasn't disappeared, then go to the hospital to apply for some medicine. He's been busy these few days, so you can take care of the report in the hotel."

Just as she wanted to answer, she heard Secretary Du say, "An hour ago I had the hotel staff put your laptop in your room. You can just use that computer to organize the conference reports. It's not convenient for President to answer the phone now. Miss Kim, if you need anything, you can just call me."

"Did he go back to the hotel last night?" Jennie looked doubtfully at the closed door on the opposite side of the room.

Du's voice paused for a moment before he said with a smile, "President didn't come back last night. However, he called me at around 6 in the morning and asked me to pass the message to you so that you can have a good rest."

Jennie responded with an "oh" then looked at the closed door again. She then opened the door of her room and walked in.

It seemed like Lisa hadn't forgotten about her borrowing the laptop. She couldn't help but smile as she called for the staff to send over some simple dishes. After eating, she sat down in front of the laptop and began to organize the meeting reports.

Jennie logged on to MSN and saw a message from GD. 'Little Red, I have an important cooperation project in Boston that I need to manage. I will be back to H City next week. Remember to miss me ~'

Jennie stared at a huge narcissistic emoticon that was accompanied by his message and giggled. She typed a few words to reply to his message, but after thinking for a moment, she deleted the words and closed the dialog box.

Before closing the message, she noticed that the message was sent from the day before yesterday.

No wonder GD was so angry when he heard she was on a business trip. He wanted to go back to the United States, so he came to the company to visit her. But he couldn't find her, so he called her to vent his bad temper.

Sighing, Jennie began to carefully organize the conference reports.

Along the way, she looked at the cellphone that was placed on the table quietly several times. She didn't know what Lisa was really busy with. This afternoon, she occasionally organized her reports and looked at the dark screen phone in a daze.

Jennie didn't know what was wrong with her. She shouldn't have had the mindset of these little girls anymore. Why would she be so anxious? Why would she always look at her phone?

Jennie felt as if she had been stabbed in a dead end. Lisa's protection and respect, Lisa's care and warmth were like the gentlest acid quietly corroding all the thorns on her body.

She shouldn't have been like this. She shouldn't have missed the gentleness of a man. She didn't know that Jennie, who was riddled with holes, would still be like four years ago, sincerely and wholeheartedly loving someone.
