Jennie was surprised. "You know someone is following us tonight?"

"It doesn't matter if it's tonight or another time, if you find someone following you, don't try to see his face. Remember to enter a crowded area or pretend that nothing is happening. Get out of there as soon as possible. The only thing you must remember is not to alert the enemy." Lisa warned her.

Even though she knew there might be a dark secret involved and Lisa couldn't tell her, she hesitated for a moment before finally opening her mouth. "Who is that man?"

Lisa smiled elegantly, but his smile made people quieten in fear. "It's a secret."

"Tch ..." Jennie immediately opened the door of her room. As she walked in, she put down the large and small bags and suddenly thought of something.

As she turned around and saw Lisa open the door across her room, she hurried out and asked, "Did you bring your laptop with you?"

Lisa glanced at her indifferently. "What do you want to do?"

"Uh, I'm used to playing mahjong online before I go to sleep." Jennie rubbed her nose shyly.

Actually, she wanted to put all the material into the computer and go through it again. She wanted to save it for later use and there was a possibility she couldn't sleep for at least two hours.

Jennie could clearly see the corners of Lisa's eyes slightly twitch as if he was glaring at her because of her words.

"I will play two rounds. After that, I will immediately fall asleep!" Seeing that Lisa would not lend his laptop to her, Jennie quickly showed a wide smile and her pair of 'innocent' eyes. She looked innocent and had a cute expression.

Jennie was about to vomit. She never acted cute at all.

"If you can't sleep, I can talk to you." Lisa closed the door to his room and headed to Jennie's room.

"Sigh! What do you want to talk to me about? If you want to talk about something, then do it now!" Jennie quickly stepped back and blocked the door.

Lisa raised his eyebrows. "What do you want to talk about? The poetry of astronomy and geography or the snow and the moon, or about history?" Lisa's lips curved into a fox-like smile. "If you want, we can talk a little deeper. For example --"

Jennie's mouth twitched. "Forget it, I won't play mahjong anymore. I'm sleeping."

After saying that, she returned to her room under Lisa's gaze. She closed the door with a bang.

As soon as she closed the door, Jennie's face turned ashen. She looked down at the ring on her ring finger.

So he only bought the ring to distract the man who was following them.

Did he really want to buy her a wedding ring?

When Lisa returned to his room, he glanced at his cell phone, which was vibrating in his pocket.

"President, their people are coming to G City." The voice of a respectful and strict man came from the other end of the line.

"I already know." Lisa walked to the window expressionlessly and pulled open the curtains. He looked at the cars passing by the hotel. "Don't stop them for now. Let's see what they plan to do."

"Alright. However, the secret bodyguards that have been following Miss Kim have already found traces of those people. I'm afraid that they have already set their sights on her."

Lisa stopped for a moment and threw his jacket on the back of the chair. "Protect her well, and don't let her get hurt."

"President, don't worry. Miss Kim's daily routine is relatively simple. She rarely goes into the places where those people can get in. The protection measures are quite smooth and up till now, she hasn't even noticed the secret bodyguards."

Lisa rubbed his glabella, "Arrange two more people for her."

"What is it? Something has changed?"

"They have no way of attacking me for a long time. Now that they have found a target close to me, they will definitely not let this matter rest. Arrange for a few more people to protect her."

"Alright, I'll arrange it tomorrow."

Lisa hung up the phone.

His eyes inadvertently glanced at the red velvet ring box that he casually placed on the table. His dark eyes slightly lit up. He walked over and picked up the box.

The next day. 9 o'clock.

The meeting in downtown G City was held as scheduled.

Jennie who wore a dark leather dress and a very affordable orange coat from last night followed Lisa to the lobby with a group of G City's staff.

Although she had seen and heard more of these people since she entered the Business Reporting Department, today was the first time she had seen so many elite and well-known business politicians in her country.

Jennie walked across the neatly arranged red carpet carefully and straight into the solemn and spacious meeting room in front of her.

Entering a luxurious and majestic hall measuring over six hundred square meters, the floors were covered with intricate patterns, simple yet elegant marble, and the two sides of the walls were covered with blue floral wallpaper. On the snow-white ceiling were a few crystal clear "crystal lamps", and the meeting room was filled with expensive mahogany chairs that were emitting an ancient fragrance.

The faces of those who came in and out were all serious. It could be seen that some important person was personally attending the meeting. Lisa's demeanor was calm and graceful, and his expression was still as unfathomable as before.

The meeting began at 9: 30.

The meeting was held in accordance with established procedures, and the mega meeting of the independent and political elites began with a special opening until the subject was introduced, compared to the usual corporate meetings.

While Jennie was carefully recording the contents of the meeting, she was also observing the state of everyone around her.

Everyone had a few speculations and questions on their faces, except for Lisa, who acted as if this matter had nothing to do with him and remained low-key as usual.

Even though Lisa was young and had a very high prestige in the business world, the row of people in front of him had all quieted down because of his arrival. He only smiled at the crowd and sat down on the seat with his name written on it.

There were people talking on the stage with impassioned words. Lisa sat on the first row of the stage, his eyes as calm and tranquil as a cool breeze.

After about three hours of the meeting, it was already noon. However, because of the importance of the meeting, there was no lunch break, only fifteen minutes of part-time break.

Jennie got up and went to the bathroom. When she returned, she suddenly saw a woman no more than thirty years old but in good condition as if she were in her early twenties, chatting with Lisa.

Lisa had been smiling faintly all this time
