Jennie blushed in embarrassment as she raised her hand to push GD's head away. He did not mind it and continued to drive while smiling at the green light.

"I really don't understand. Why do you seem to be so deep in love with me out of the blue? Why haven't I seen you like me before? Have you gotten tired of those blonde beauties abroad over the years? As soon as you returned home, you decided to grab hold of a person like me, who was as good as dead! It truly does not follow common sense!"

"When have I ever played cards according to common sense?" GD stared straight ahead with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding the cigarette. "You were just a silly girl at that time. Whether I liked you or not, you never noticed. You always ran away when you saw me. So what if I liked you before? What will you do?"

Jennie thought back to the time when she was in the Kim Family. GD had indeed always pestered her, but she had basically always avoided him and really hadn't noticed any changes in his attitude towards her.

Except for that time...

That time, V said that when GD found and saved her from those people, he had always been hugging her. He didn't even let anyone touch her and kept calling her name.

However, Jennie didn't know clearly at that time. Her mind was in a mess, and she didn't even know how GD and V saved her at that time.

"I've felt it for the past two years. Too many people do not know how to treasure everything before their eyes. In the end, they miss it and when they want to turn back, they are too late."

GD looked at her. This was the first time Jennie had seen such concentration in his eyes. "At least, I don't want to miss it."

Jennie unconsciously stared at him, but GD only smiled and shifted his gaze away. "Lisa should be having a meal at the Imperial Dynasty Hotel right now, why don't we go there and have dinner together with him? I can't possibly forget about my good brother in order just to see you. Alright! Let's go to the Imperial Dynasty and find him to treat us!"

GD made up his mind and drove straight to the location. Jennie's heart skipped a beat. "The foods in that restaurant are not tasty. Let's go to another one."

GD glanced at her, "Weren't you always not picky when it came to eating? What's wrong? Did Lisa offend you? If there are grievances, just say it. With this grandpa here, even if he's Lisa Manoban, he still has to give me a face. I'll seek justice for you!"

Seeing that he suddenly handed over the problem to Lisa, Jennie did not know what she could do now. She knew that GD was very shrewd. Right now, he didn't notice the news, and no one beside him had probably mentioned it to him.

Jennie paused and smiled, "No, no matter how close Lisa is with you, how can I, a mere commoner, have anything to do with him? Let alone offend me, even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to find a way to offend him."

GD turned his head to look at her again, but he didn't ask any further questions when he saw her expression.

When they arrived at the Imperial Dynasty Hotel, Jennie felt a bit uneasy. She was really afraid that they might end up bumping with Lisa.

What if something happened?

Although Jennie respected her thoughts and didn't mention their relationship to GD, he also didn't seem to agree with her way of hiding it.

If GD didn't leave H City in a short period of time, perhaps ...

As Jennie was lost in thought, GD had already gotten out of the car. She had no choice but to get out as well.

"Why does your face look so bad?" Under the bright light from the hotel's entrance, GD finally saw the haggard look on Jennie's face.

"A few days ago I had a fever and I recovered a little yesterday. Maybe my body hasn't recovered yet." She smiled.

GD pressed his hand against her forehead. With a frown, he asked, "Are you still burning?"

"My body temperature is getting better. I'm fine." Jennie carefully avoided his hand.

He nodded and walked straight to the elevator. Jennie followed him from behind with anxiety.

Suddenly, GD grabbed her hand, causing her to freeze.

Her body was pulled by him and as she was about to move away, GD lowered his head and looked at her with a face full of suspicion. He lifted her hand and looked at the platinum ring on her ring finger.

"Where did this ring come from?" GD frowned in annoyance when he saw the ring on her ring finger. The ring was extremely eye-catching.

If he hadn't suddenly touched the ring on her finger, he really wouldn't have noticed it just now.

Jennie's face stiffened. She quickly retracted her hand, but GD firmly held onto her hand, not allowing her to dodge.

He stood at the elevator door and looked at her with a slightly cold gaze. "Why do I think you suddenly behave strangely? Is there something you are hiding from me? You have a boyfriend? Are you married?"

Suddenly, the elevator door in front of them slowly opened and Lisa's handsome face appeared.

Jennie looked at Lisa, who was standing in front of the elevator in surprise.

When GD saw him, he didn't have the time to greet him. He just grabbed onto Jennie's hand and asked with a face full of jealousy, "Where did you get this ring? Who put it on you? Do you know what it means to have a ring on your right hand's ring finger?"

Jennie took a deep breath. She felt Lisa's gaze on her. She also saw a faint glimmer in his eyes, as if he was waiting for her to answer. His thin lips faintly curled up.

She was helpless and wished that she could faint all of a sudden like those female supporting actors in the TV series.

Jennie could only force herself to withdraw her hand. She covered the platinum wedding ring on her ring finger with her hand and stammered, "It's a birthday present V gave me. He bought it for me."

In a split-second, GD frowned. Jennie didn't dare to look at Lisa's eyes. She purposely avoided his gaze. She felt as if the air around her had frozen by three feet.

"V?" GD looked at Jennie's hand that was covering the ring like a precious treasure. "Why did he give you that ring?"

"I've never bought any jewelry before. I saw one in a jewelry store and liked it a lot, so V--"

Before she could finish, Secretary Du, who came out with Lisa, suddenly whispered, "President, Chief Zhuan's car is still outside. Didn't you say you want to send him off?"

GD turned around and smiled at Lisa. "Your lunchtime isn't over yet, right? I'll take Jennie to the private room first and wait for you there."

As he spoke, he grabbed Jennie's hand and led her into the elevator. Lisa's expression didn't change as he indifferently looked at Jennie, who passed by him with her head lowered.

Only when the two of them entered the elevator did he expressionlessly turn around and leave.

As soon as the elevator door closed, Jennie's heart began to beat faster. She felt that if this situation didn't go away, she would have a heart attack sooner or later.

"V, that brat is only your brother. He can give you another present, why did he give you a ring!" GD still hadn't forgotten about Jennie's ring. He took her hand to take the ring off.

"What are you doing!" Jennie struggled to pull her hand away.

Seeing her so anxious, Gd once again frowned. He did not let go of her hand but just watched her protect the ring as if it was a precious treasure.

GD's face suddenly turned bad, "If you like it, just wear it on your other finger."
