GD also looked around, apparently not paying attention to whether this was a parking lot or not. He knocked his head to clear his mind, and after looking around, his gaze stopped at Jennie. "Where is this?"

The corner of Jennie's mouth twitched. It looks like he's too drunk to bother with his surroundings. He had slipped into the car when he found an opening and ended up in an incorrect parking spot.

That was why he made a mistake. Jennie bet that GD will receive a fine in a few days.

Jennie looked around and saw a hotel in front of her. She said, "Don't drive tonight. Park your car in the parking lot and stay at that hotel for the night."

GD, who easily became obedient after drinking too much, nodded without saying anything. Seeing him like this, Jennie was overjoyed.

She smiled and patted on the door again, "Don't just nod, remember not to drive again tonight. You must go to the hotel and rest to avoid any trouble."

He nodded again and did not show at all that he was tired of hearing her nagging.

After instructing him, Jennie stood beside his car and looked at the cab heading towards them. There were still a few taxis passing by, but they were all full of people, so she did not move.

While she was waiting for the taxi, GD was quietly sitting in the car with a drunk expression on his face. Suddenly, his phone rang. He frowned and looked at the caller ID. Then, he sighed and answered the call, but he didn't say anything.

It was unknown what the person on the other side of the phone said to him, but he was frowning even more. His slightly hoarse voice was filled with impatience. "You want to talk to me? What do you want to talk about? I have helped you hide the truth from your Family and give you a respectable reason to leave Boston. I already said that I don't want to get involved with your business!"

After saying that, GD hung up and casually threw his phone to the side.

Jennie suddenly realized something from his words. What Zhou Family? Help who leave the United States? Niki said that she came to H City with GD, so the person who called him earlier ... was Niki?

Jennie's heart skipped a beat as she looked at him. After a moment of hesitation, she slowly bent down and leaned against the window, looking at him. "Hey, GD."

GD paused as if he just realized that Jennie was calling his name or remembering that she was still standing outside the car. He turned around and looked at her with a puzzled expression. "Jennie, why are you standing outside?"

"It's cool outside." Jennie squeezed out a smile. She stared at the phone that he had just thrown to the side. "Who is it? Why is your tone so rude?"

GD glanced at her before lazily leaning back in his leather seat. "A woman."

Jennie raised an eyebrow slightly. In fact, she wasn't at all interested in the story between Niki and Lisa. Too many bad love stories and the reason they were not together were either because of others or external obstacles. However, seeing GD's attitude, she suddenly felt a little curious about Niki.

What kind of woman would she be able to injure a man like Lisa and dared to stand in front of him with such confidence?

Even when facing the fact that Lisa was married, her expression still didn't change. "A woman." GD said while looking at her with an indifferent expression. His voice was much softer than usual. "A woman who was so outstanding in the past that even I was almost willing to admit defeat."

Hearing GD's words, Jennie admitted that she had been shocked in an instant. She carefully observed the faint coldness in his eyes. "Then why are you so rude to her?"

GD sneered and continued to rub his forehead, as if he was helpless at the mention of this person, "Blame her for being too smart. In the end, she played with those clever tricks and ended up harming herself. She is also too fond of playing and treated life as a game. She is too dismissive of everything. In the end, karma bit her in the ass, and she lost everything."

"The last thing people should do is show off their own worth." he said.

Jennie was confused by his words. She looked at his unfathomable expression and asked, "Can I say that I don't understand?"

GD glanced at her. "I don't intend for you to understand."

Jennie was speechless and glared at him. "Are you trying to keep me in suspense?"

GD laughed and explained in a soft voice, "There is no suspense, it is just a matter of the past. There is no need to say too much. No matter what happens to others, it's enough for you to be Jennie."

GD had always been a sloppy person. Jennie knew that his personality was just a facade, but he had seen many things more clearly than anyone else. Although he did not know about her relationship with Lisa, no matter how well he treated her, it would always be over the top.

Jennie could faintly sense the hidden meaning behind his words, but seeing how drunk he was, she raised her hand and slapped his face.

What a satisfying feeling.

Jennie glared at GD in disgust. "You are reeking of alcohol and are still pretending to be profound with me."

GD chuckled softly. "Stop talking. I've long since woken up from my drunken stupor. I could tell that you were concerned about me when you were blabbering with me, so I didn't complain. Aren't I someone thick-skinned?"

Jennie rolled her eyes. She leaned against the window and stopped talking, but her eyes were lowered, and she was full of thoughts. Her phone remained silent and there was no message from Lisa. Her heart was like the night sky. The color of the neon light seemed bright, but in reality, it was biting cold.

"Can you still drink?" Jennie did not stop the passing by taxi, even though the car was empty. She just stared at the neon lights on the side of the road silently. Her voice was a little hollow.

GD rubbed his forehead. Hearing her words, he immediately let go of her hand. Jennie looked at him hesitantly with a smile that did not reach the depths of her heart.

GD frowned. "Jennie, are you heartbroken?"

"Tch ..." Jennie lowered her head and laughed for a long time before looking at the man who was emitting a strong odor of alcohol, "Being happy alone is not as good as people say, and getting drunk alone is not as good as drinking together. Do you want to accompany me to drink a few glasses?"

GD put his hand on the steering wheel and tilted his head to show his disapproving expression. Ever since their reunion, Jennie had never taken the initiative to look for him, nor had she ever approached him. Every time she saw him, she would avoid him out of fear, but she would always be pressured or coerced by him, causing her to occasionally interact with him.

GD initially thought that he would have to take a long road to seduce her, but he didn't expect that she would take the initiative to look for him to drink wine.

"Today ..." GD narrowed his hazy, slightly drunken eyes and looked at the unreadable emotions in her eyes. He paused for a moment but didn't ask any further questions. He nodded. "Get in the car. I'll accompany you."

The reason why Jennie looked for GD was that he was the only one who was familiar with her. In this city, only he knew her the best.

Jennie was currently feeling depressed, and she was afraid that she would meet someone weird if she went to drink alone. Thankfully, GD didn't ask further questions and agreed without any conditions. She opened the car door and got in, and without caring whether he was drunk or not, she pointed straight ahead, "I remember there's a good bar ahead, it's not as chaotic as a whole street. Let's go there."

GD tilted his head to the side and glanced at her face. Without saying anything further, he started the engine and drove towards the bar Jennie was talking about.
