Jennie knew that Lisa wouldn't let her off. She looked at a glass full of white wine and took a deep breath. She raised her eyes to meet his unfathomable gaze.

This morning, she thought Lisa was a good person. Oh, how wrong she was. She was so stupid and naive.

Wasn't he trying to embarrass her? If Jennie rejected this glass of wine in front of so many people, it would be a real embarrassment!

Jennie steeled her heart, raised her glass, and smiled at him politely. "President Manoban, it is an honor for me to meet you for the first time! Then, I will be the first to toast!"

Then, she drank the entire glass of wine as fast as she could.

When she put down the glass, she choked and coughed uncomfortably. Simultaneously, the applause was heard from all over the table, "Miss Kim has good alcohol tolerance!"

Lisa, on the other hand, calmly raised his glass and looked at Jennie's face, which was gradually turning red due to alcohol. He lifted the glass to his lips and finished it in one gulp.

Everyone laughed.

Director Lan took advantage of this alcohol exchange and stood up from his seat, saying to Lisa, "President Manoban, this is a great honor for all of us. Thank you for coming here even though you are very busy. We must have more interaction in the future."

Lisa stood up. His gaze had left Jennie, and he reluctantly replied to Director Lan, "Director Lan, please show respect to yourself. We are learning from each other and improving together."

Director Lan sat back in his seat and greeted everyone with a laugh, "Everyone, let's eat. The delicacy on this table is unique in F City. President Manoban, please eat."

Lisa took the plate closer to him in an indifferent manner and put the food in his mouth.

Jennie, on the other hand, was savoring the taste of dim sum.

"Right, President Manoban, there is something I need to discuss with you." Director Lan suddenly spoke with a sincere expression on his face.

Lisa took the cup of wine handed by the person sitting next to him and said with a smile, "Director Lan, tonight we will only enjoy food and not talk about business!"

Director Lan was stunned. He kept his words to himself and laughed awkwardly. "Right, right. You are right. We should enjoy the delicacy tonight."

Although Jennie didn't know what business Director Lan had with Lisa but judging from his attitude, Lisa probably didn't plan to answer his questions and probably didn't care about it at all. It probably wouldn't be a good thing either.

This feast lasted until around 11: 00 pm and the atmosphere had reached an extraordinary level. Lisa received the wine from the crowd with great politeness without any obvious deterrence.

While everyone was happily drinking, Jennie took advantage of this situation to sneak out of the private room and go to the table outside to eat.

At the dining table, since the people she came in contact with were all important people, she didn't dare to make a single sound as she sat there eating. She was really stifled.

It was only after eating some food at the outside table, Jennie was finally full. However, the Maotai wine she drank earlier started causing her head to feel dizzy.

Her alcohol tolerance was average. After so many years of socializing, one glass of white wine was nothing to her. Still, because she drank the wine too hastily, it made her stomach feel uncomfortable.

The more uncomfortable she felt, the more she cursed Lisa in her heart.

When Jennie said that they had just met for the first time, it was because she wanted to make them both not feel awkward. She didn't want to reveal their relationship, but who would have thought that Lisa would actually use this opportunity to share wine with her!

The time was already 11: 45 pm. They had been drinking for so long. If they continued to drink like this, would Lisa be able to take it?

This was also the first time she had seen Lisa's behavior when he was at a social gathering. One glass of Maotai Liquor was terrible enough for her. Still, when she thought about how Lisa had been toasted over and over again, she became uncomfortable.

Jennie suddenly got up and pushed open the door of the private room. As she was about to enter, her legs suddenly froze, and she almost collided with a figure about to walk out.

She widened her eyes and felt cold running down her spine when she saw the person. Jennie immediately stepped back to give him a way out, but who knew that the man suddenly fell towards her.

"Sigh, Lisa..." Jennie hurriedly raised her hand to support Lisa, who was leaning against her body. Suddenly, she heard him whisper in her ear, "Don't talk, help me out."

His voice was light and unique, and it carried the scent of alcohol, blowing against her ears. Jennie understood his intentions and immediately supported him as they walked out.

When the people in the room saw that she helped Lisa out, they all wore an expression as though they were accustomed to seeing such a common sight and continued to drink. They didn't intend to stop them.

Only an idiot would go and stop them.

As soon as Jennie helped Lisa out of the hotel, the man who had been leaning on her gently pushed her away.

She let go and watched as Lisa walked to the car parked by the side of the road. Although he wasn't as drunk as he pretended to be, his steps were still a little unsteady.

Jennie looked at his messy footsteps and sighed.

Lisa suddenly stopped and looked back at her indifferently.

"You drank too much." She said, "Would you like a driver to drive you back to the hotel? You can't drive in this condition. It's not safe."
