Krystal did not think Jennie would not be sad at all. She secretly pinched the space between her eyebrows and snorted. She sipped her champagne and smiled sweetly. "Thank you. Of course, we will be happy!"

"Aiya, why is this girl accompanying you again? Jennie, where is your husband? Why have I never seen him show up with you? Ah, it's not good for me to talk like this. Tsk tsk, but I have no other meaning. I'm just worried and just want to know the truth."

Jennie laughed in a disapproving manner, which made Krystal a little uncomfortable.

Krystal turned around and saw Kai drinking, so she said, "Don't mention it, you guys can drink as you like. I'm going to find my fiancé."

Then, she walked towards Kai 's side.

"Look at her personality. She's just like a winning pheasant," Rosé muttered to the side.

Jennie watched Krystal's back calmly. From the start, she didn't have much of an expression on her face. Moments later, she turned around and leaned against the table. Seeing that there were still a few glasses of red wine on the table, she took it and downed them all in one gulp.

"Jen...You have a fever, you can't drink! It's one thing for you to drink one glass due to that woman's provocation, but why do you drink again?" Rosé quickly took the glass from Jennie's hand.

Jennie raised her head and looked at the celebration in the distance. She whispered, "Rosé, you're wrong. When you drink some wine when you have a fever, then you will be able to sleep well."

"But ..."

Before Rosé could complete her sentence, Jennie had already taken another glass of wine. This time, she did not finish it in one gulp. Instead, she slowly inhaled it.

The atmosphere in the banquet hall was full of noise and excitement. Jennie put the glass in her hand on the table. The wine's quantity was not low, and the strength behind it was so great that she felt both of her legs were actually floating.

The glittering light in front of her was about to dazzle her eyes. Otherwise, how could she have seen Lisa.

Jennie let out a long breath of air. Her mesmerizing eyes swept through the crowd, and she looked towards the extraordinary figure at the other end of the crowd. He wore a black, tailored, and exquisite suit, exuding his elegance and handsomeness.

When did he come?

Jennie rubbed her forehead and looked at Lisa, who didn't seem to notice her presence. She hurriedly pulled Rosé's hand and said, "Rosé let's leave."

"Leave? Jen, didn't you say that we will be here until this banquet is over?" Rosé mumbled as she swallowed the cake in her mouth.

"Let's leave." Jennie immediately grabbed her hand, preparing to leave.

However, just as Jennie took one step forward, her vision went dark, and she almost fell to the ground. Rosé held Jennie's hand in time and looked at her pale face. "Jen, are you alright?!"

"I'm fine." Jennie pressed her hand to her forehead. She shook her head gently. "I'm alright ..."

"Your body is burning! Should we go to the hospital?"

"I'm fine, really. Don't worry." The dizziness in Jennie's head was too severe. She only felt that everything in front of her was a bit blurry. "Wait here for me. I'll go wash my face with cold water."

"I'll go with you!"

"No, just wait for me here."

Rosé took Jennie's handbag and helplessly looked at her back. As she looked at Jennie's unsteady steps, the worry in her eyes became deeper.

Compared to the bustle in the dining hall, the washroom was so quiet that even a pin drop could be heard. Jennie barely managed to find the ladies room's direction, but when she walked in, she nearly fell down. She quickly stabilized her body, walked to the washstand, and looked up at herself in the mirror.

Her face had already turned frighteningly pale. Jennie slapped her face hard and washed it with cold water.

When her face had dried up, she walked out. Just as she walked out of the washroom, a familiar figure walked out from the opposite door of the men's restroom.

The moment Jennie saw Kai, she paused for a moment, then looked away expressionless.

She had just taken a step when her arm was grabbed by someone, "What happened to you?"

Jennie hurriedly tried to shake off his hand. "Let go!"

"Why do you look pale?" Kai was obviously drinking a lot of wine as well. He immediately pulled Jennie's arm and yanked her body to his chest.

Jennie's steps were unsteady. She stumbled and crashed into him, then subconsciously leaned back against the marble wall outside the washroom. The cold wall behind her made her mind clear up a little, but she was powerless to push him away.

Kai raised his hand to touch her forehead, but Jennie immediately turned her head, causing his hand to touch empty space.

Kai frowned, his eyes a little red from the alcohol, obviously angered by her resolute resistance.

Kai grabbed Jennie's chin with one hand, turning her face to face him. "Jennie! Can you stop being like that?"

Jennie looked at the man in front of her with a deadpan expression. She tried to struggle free, but she couldn't muster any strength. She could only gasp and mutter, "Take your dirty hands away!"

"Don't you miss me? I delayed this engagement party for five whole weeks. I wanted to see you! I did this for you! You're the one who forced me into a corner! Jennie, why can't you lower your head and understand my suffering? Who am I working so hard for that I want to reach the top? Isn't it all to get the Jung Family's property as soon as possible, and let you live a good life?!"

Jennie only felt her vision darken, and she did not have the energy to say anything to him. She felt so uncomfortable that she wanted to turn her head away. Jennie said in a weak and dispirited voice, "Our relationship is over. Please let me go."

"You!" Kai gritted his teeth in anger and suddenly tightened his grip on her chin. He took a small step forward and trapped her between the wall and his body, then bent down to kiss her.

"Kai! Scram!" Jennie tried her best to push him away, but she couldn't budge him at all. Her legs went soft, and she could only let him hold her down.

Just as Jennie was powerless to resist, a clear and cold voice suddenly resounded in her ears, "Let her go."
