As expected, Lisa already knew her quite well ...

Jennie immediately stood up and walked into their bedroom. Her body right now felt like it had been hit by a fatal nerve.

When she woke up, it was already the middle of the night. The lights in the living room seemed to be on. Jennie got up and walked out of the bedroom. Suddenly, she saw a familiar brown paper bag on the coffee table.

She was stunned. Slowly she walked towards the brown paper bag. She picked it up and opened it to find the photos she had placed in the office drawer.

How did these photos end up in Lisa's hands?

As she was wondering, she caught a glimpse of his figure coming down the stairs.

"Why are these photos in your hands?"

Lisa glanced at her hand and said in a calm and gentle voice, "Rosé saw it when she was rummaging your office drawers. She immediately sent it to me."

Jennie tightened her grip on the brown paper bag. She never intended to tell Lisa about unpleasant things that happened in her past. As long as she can live well every day, that was enough.

"There's meat porridge in the kitchen. Go eat it." Liaa walked towards Jennie wearing a light blue cotton housedress. The fresh scent of his body pierced her nose. He must have taken a shower while she was asleep.

Liaa took the brown paper bag in her hand and signaled her with his eyes to go to the kitchen.

Jennie paused and tried to get the brown paper bag back, but the concern in Lisa's eyes told her that he did not want her to touch it again.

Jennie was no longer stubborn, nodded his head, and went to the kitchen. Of course, she noticed that Lisa had just heated the porridge, one serving for each. He may have already had dinner, so this porridge was specially cooked for her.

Jennie smiled at the feeling of being cared for like a child. She was afraid that she would become addicted.

Lisa was still holding a brown paper bag as he walked up the stairs. Jennie suddenly turned and looked at him. "Lis, these photos don't need to be destroyed. I am not so weak. They are just some painful memories. These photos are a scene that I witnessed twenty years ago. I have been alone all this year, do you think I would be scared of these pictures?"

Lisa indifferently glanced at her before retracting his gaze. His lips moved slightly as he sighed with a slight sense of regret and heartache, "With me here, you won't be alone in the future."

With that, he went upstairs.

'With me here, you won't be a single person in the future.'

Jennie held the bowl in her hand tightly and smiled warmly.

She only saw the photos the first time she found them and kept them in her desk drawer while covering it with a brown paper bag. She never dared to see those pictures again.

Usually, no one will touch her drawer. But these days, Rosé has taken over her job, so when she needs information, she will naturally use her keys to open the drawer and search for its contents. In the end, these photos really fell into Lisa's hands. Was it destined?

When Lisa came down again, Jennie was still sitting on the sofa with the remaining half of the porridge, lost in thought.

"If you don't eat it now, it will get cold."

At the same time, he took the bowl in her hands and scooped some of it with a spoon. He placed it next to her mouth and teased, "It looks like you want me to feed you?"

Jennie came back to her senses. Embarrassed, she tried to snatch the bowl back. "No need. I was just thinking about something."

However, Lisa didn't let her snatch it away. He looked at her with a hint of teasing and maintained the posture of feeding her. "Open your mouth."

Jennie's face immediately flushed red. She was embarrassed, but looking at his natural expression, she immediately took a bite. As she swallowed the porridge, Lisa held back his laughter. He looked at her with a satisfied smile.

Jennie couldn't take it anymore. After taking only one bite, she grabbed the bowl and the spoon from him. Let me do it myself!"

With that, she quickly lowered her head and finished the remaining half bowl of porridge.

Seeing her wolfing down her food, Lisa laughed. "It's not like there's anyone else who wants to snatch it from you."

"I'm afraid that if you continue to feed me, you'll end up killing me!" Before she could swallow the last mouthful of porridge in her mouth, she let out a muffled grunt.

After eating, she wiped her mouth and murmured. "Lis, you really look like a poisonous poppy."

His sloppy brows slightly rose. "Poisonous poppy? What metaphor is that?"

"Beautiful and addictive. If this goes on, I'm afraid I won't be able to leave you."

"Then, don't leave." He gave a low laugh.

The night was quiet.

Since she always spent time resting and sleeping, Jennie sleeps lightly at night. She heard Lisa's cell phone ringing and could feel him getting up from the bed and going out to answer his call.

Jennie was puzzled. It was already past one in the morning.

Rather than thinking randomly, it would be better to just ask. She leaned on the edge of the bed and asked him. "Lisa, where are you going?"

Seeing that she had woken up, he walked back to her and kissed her forehead lightly. "Something has happened on a development site rented by my company. I need to see it. Go to sleep. I will be back soon."

Jennie frowned. What had he got to do with the incident at the construction site? If the CEO was alarmed, then it must be serious, otherwise, he definitely didn't have to check it out in the middle of the night, "Is it serious? It's already late, though."

Lisa pressed her down and helped her cover herself with the blanket. As if he was somewhat apologetic for waking her up at night, he coaxed her gently, "I still don't know the specifics of the situation. You sleep first."

Jennie wasn't ignorant at all. "Then go and come back quickly."

When the door closed and the sound of his footprints gradually disappeared, Jennie immediately came out of the room. She couldn't fall asleep. She put on a coat and walked back and forth in the living room.

When she logged on to the MSN, she was shocked to see that GD was online.

Jennie looked at the time. It was 1.30 in the morning. Could it be that he was still busy?

Subconsciously, she wanted to ask him if his mood was better, but she quickly deleted it after typing a word. After hesitating for a moment, she finally decided to check the email.

It was just after three in the morning when Lisa came back. Jennie was sitting on the sofa with a laptop in her lap, playing mahjong on the internet.

Lisa frowned when he saw Jennie still not asleep, but he did not say anything. Then he came with a glass of water and handed it to her.

"I can't sleep." Jennie took the glass without looking at him. She stared at the computer and said, "Is it serious?"

"It's been taken care of." Lisa sat down beside her and wrapped his arm around her, ignoring the laptop in her lap.

He kissed her sensitive ear lightly and sucked her earlobe.

Jennie couldn't help but shiver. She almost threw the laptop. She turned her head to look at him grudgingly, only to see that his eyes were dark, and before she could say anything, he had already kissed her.
