Jennie's hair stood on end when she heard V's footsteps. Remembering that the bedroom door was just closed, but it was not locked, and that both she and Lisa were undressed, Jennie's heart instantly leaped to her throat.
Immediately, she looked pleadingly at Lisa, asking him to let her go.
However, a mischievous glint flashed past his eyes. Jennie carefully pushed him away. She used her eyes to beg him to stop but instead, Lisa bent his head down to once again capture her lips.
Jennie sucked in a breath. Lisa tightened his grip on her waist.
"Ugh ..." Jennie whimpered angrily, she didn't dare to make too much noise. She was afraid that V would hear her.
At the same time, V's voice came from outside the door. "Jennie, are you asleep?"
Jennie's eyes immediately widened, and her struggling movements became more intense.
Lisa seemed to have done it on purpose, completely ignoring her panic.
Jennie lowered her head and bit his shoulder, savagely.
She pushed him away with all her might. It was unknown if Lisa really let her go or if she pushed him too hard, but he was pushed back just like that.
She then hurriedly stood by the door with her hand on the door handle, carefully listening for the sound outside.
Lisa looked at her cautious actions with a faint smile.
"She's really asleep?" Seeing that there was no sound from inside, V stayed outside for a while before turning around to take a shower.
Hearing the sound of water splashing in the bathroom, Jennie let out a long breath. She looked back at Lisa and started to panic.
Originally, she thought that V was home, so she brought Lisa with her. All she had to do was explain his identity. Plus, he was drunk, so no matter what, V wouldn't say anything, but now ... This situation was not easy to explain.
If she explained it to him, the situation would only get worse.
"He didn't know you were married?" Lisa looked at Jennie's panicked eyes. His voice was neither warm nor cold, but it was apparent that he was unhappy to be interrupted!
Jennie's mouth twitched. She glared at him before carefully locking the door. When she turned around, she saw Lisa rubbing his glabella and whispered, "He didn't know that you were here. When my brother falls asleep, I'll go out and find you some hangover tea. "
Lusa pursed his lips and looked at the evasive look in her eyes. "You don't intend to tell him that I'm here?"
"It's already so late, and I won't tell him anymore." Jennie had a headache.
Lisa remained calm and collected as he watched her actions. His elegant brows were slightly raised. "How old is he?"
"A year younger than me."
"Why are you afraid he'll see us? Since he is no longer a child, he must understand that there is nothing wrong with us living together." His voice was faint, and it did not sound like he was very happy.
Jennie remained silent as she leaned against the door. She stretched out her hand to straighten her clothes and pulled back the sleeve that had slipped on her arm. "It's complicated."
Seeing her actions, Lisa paused for a moment. He then walked to her bed, no longer looking at Jennie.
He turned on the dim yellow light at the head of the bed. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a yellow photo in front of the bed. He extended his hand and picked it up.
Seeing him pick up the photo, Jennie was about to say something, but in the end, she did not stop him.
In the photo, a beautiful and enchanting young woman was squatting in a field of flowers, her arms spread wide around a small man and a little girl. The two children looked about two or three years old.
The little girl in the photo had round eyes. Her small hand held the little boy's hand while leaning against the woman's chest. Her eyes were innocent and confused.
"Is this you?" Lisa asked.
Jennie answered softly while listening to the commotion outside, "Yes."
The little boy in the photo was naturally her brother and the woman ...
Lisa's eyes froze.
He looked at the alluring yet gentle woman in the picture and asked calmly, "How did she die?"
Knowing that he was asking about her mother's death, Jennie lowered her eyes and didn't answer.
Lisa turned around and looked at her. He saw that Jennie didn't want to talk about it, and put the frame back in front of the bed.
"When I was four years old, in June, my mother went to visit the Kim Family. After she came back, she committed suicide by jumping off a building." Jennie said suddenly.
Lisa's hand that was putting the photo back on the bed paused slightly. He turned around and looked at Jennie, who had already lifted her face.
"At that time, I didn't understand anything. I didn't know what she wanted to do by jumping off the building. Even when I was taken to her corpse and saw the blood all over the ground, I still didn't understand what was happening. At that time, I didn't even cry."
Lisa stared at her in silence.
Jennie sighed lightly and suddenly smiled, "It's been twenty years. My brother and I each have a photo of her. I would have forgotten what she looked like if he hadn't put this photo here."
While they were talking, the sound of V quietly entering his bedroom was heard from outside. Jennie's tense mood finally calmed down after hearing the sound of the room door closing.
Lusa gently put down the photo frame and turned around. He was looking at Jennie's limpid eyes that were filled with neither sadness nor joy.
His voice seemed to have the ability to clear other people's anxieties, and he seemed to be more patient with her. "Jennie, get rid of all your defenses. Tell me, seven years ago, why did you leave the Kim Family?"
