XXXIX: Mnemosyne

Harry's POV

I miss my mom, she's been in my mind lately maybe that's why I'm in a certain memory right now when we are having a good time when she's teaching me how to cook.

It would be nice watching it but we had a mission to do. I looked around trying to find a way to go back in present time.

"Meízon." Suddenly I heard Neysha's voice in my mind which is I am used to anyway that's why I didn't startled.
"Focus. Think of what should we doing and who we should be right now."

I did what she told me. I closed my eyes and I thought about our quest and then about them.

And when I opened my eyes I was back at the amusement park in a theater.

I immediately caught Ciara when she stumbled, I examined her face and her eyes looked puffy, she must have cried. She smiled at me weakly and shook her head. I sighed.

I looked around and they're all here, Neysha looked more agitated than ever but then I squinted when I looked at Zia at Kelis, there's something different with them.

I looked at the stage and saw a tall woman, maybe taller than the gods. She has her back against us, she's wearing a golden cape and laurel wreath in too of her brown wavy hair.

And then she turn around and it seems like the time was slowing her movements.

My mouth fell when she finally faced us. She smiled at as warmly.

"Heroes." We kneeled except Neysha who's only staring at her. Suddenly the titaness lit up and now she's in her mortal form but that shook me even worse.

"You-"

"It's me, indeed." My eyes widened in shock and I don't know, I don't know what to feel. "You finally come to me." Her smile turns menancingly.

"Rane." Zia got up from her knees and we followed her.

Rane Soriano, our headmistress, right here right now standing in front of us as Mnemosyne the titaness of memories and language.

"You pretended as daughter of Demeter." Nakita ko kung paanong kumuyom ang kamao ni Zia. "You are Mnemosyne, you fooled us all, you-" Zia held her forehead. "That's why.. it's it's -"

"I just pretended for short time."

"Is she alive, the real Rane Soriano?" I asked but she threw me a look of fake sympathy.

"Oh.. that poor little demi-god, she's gone, obviously."

"About the Olympians, did you lied to us about them too?" Zia asked angrily, "they did not killed them, right?" The goddess smiled menancingly.

"Oh.. poor child. Do not let your delusions fool you. Even if they did not kill the other demi-gods. They still tried to kill all of you." She's mad, she's insane for fooling us all. She made us pity her, she made us believe that it was the gods who killed the other demi-gods.

And then I remember what Thanatos told us, "do not trust a titaness" this is what he meant.

"C'mon child of Zeus, I intend no harm. I even make it easy for all of you to come here." My jaw clenched, I feel so dumb.

"How's the Academy?" I asked.

She clasped her hand, "they're perfectly fine." But I could not trust her words. "You need my help don't you?" She scanned us.

"Why did you let us come here? If you intend no harm then why didn't you reveal yourself in Academy?" Caiara asked and the Titaness laugh.

"C'mon there would be no fun, and besides I have to bring the daughter of Coeus here in my domain." She looked at Neysha who's staring blankly at her.

"Are you on our side or not?" Ciara asked hesitantly.

"What do you think Child of Apollo?" She gulped and she held my arm for support.

"I don't think you are." The titaness smiled wickedly.

"Ohh let's not judge too early. I just need Lineysha." She looked back at Lineysha and then to us, "what are you standing here for? Aren't you curious about what's happening in your Academy right now?"

My palm's itchy, it badly wanted to summon a weapon and stabbed it into this titaness throat.

"Oh you wouldn't." The titaness glared at me and I smirked. "The time is ticking."

"Leave." Napatingin kaming lahat kay Lineysha, pero naging dahilan lang iyon para mabigla ako sa itsura niya ngayon. She look so cold, she sounded cold. She looked at us with nothing in her eyes, with no emotions at all just her plain silver eyes. "Go back to the Academy now, Meízon."

I saw Kelis summon his katana ready to charge but then Lineysha looked at him and shook her head.

"We will not leave you here," seryosong ani ni Zia, she summoned her lightning bolt and the was my cue to summon mine.

This is nice, a battle with a titaness? Clearly, nice.

"I'll take it from here."

"But Neysha we're a team!" Ciara yelled and for a moment I saw Neysha's eyes softened.

"We are." She smiled at us sadly, my grip on my weapon tightened. "But, I have a mission alone Meízon, I hope you understand that. The Academy needs you right now." She tried to sound convincing but none of us listened. "Kelis..." She pleaded but Kelis didn't listen. "Please, Zia, trust me." Zia lowered her head and then she looked at Neysha again.

"You'll come back." It was not a question, Neysha was taken a back, for a moment she couldn't answer.

"I w-will.." she avoided our gaze.

"Promise it to the river S-styx." Zia's voice cracked which I barely hear. Yumuko si Lineysha at pasimpleng pinunasan ang pisngi.

"I-Lineysha s-swear to come back-to the river Styx." A thunder roared outside. A moment of silence, no one talk.

"Very well!" The titaness look overjoyed, "Lineysha has a mission to fullfil, this is for the sake of everyone do not worry." I don't trust her words anymore.

"Kelis." Kelis started to make a portal.

"Lineysha," Zia called her. She looked at each of us with her watery silver eyes and I cannot stand it.

Why is she looking like that to us? As if this is the last time that we're gonna see her?

Ciara run to her and hugged her, "b-balik ka ha.." she sobbed and I had to get her from Lineysha.

"Neysha, I expect to meet you in the battlefield." She smiled and nodded.

"You'll come back." Zia looked at her with her serious face, "if you don't want me dead in Zayn's hand." That hit a nerve. A tears feel from Neysha's eyes and she immediately wiped it.

"G-give this to him." She handed a golden bead to Zia, it was her hair. "Tell him to keep that, then maybe.." she lowered her head, "maybe it can lead him to me."
