Mailin's POV

The ground shakes beneath my feet, followed by a deafening explosion. My heart lurches as smoke billows up from the other side of the disaster zone, and then I see him-Gang Orca. He's massive, his presence enough to make the air feel heavier, more dangerous. My muscles tense. This isn't just a rescue anymore. It's a full-scale attack.

Yokumiru's voice echoes over the stadium speakers, informing us that villains have appeared and it's up to us to suppress them while continuing our rescue operations. The panic from the other examinees is almost palpable, and I feel it too-a buzzing anxiety deep in my bones. But I push it down. I have to stay calm.

Midoriya is already taking charge, his eyes scanning the area for threats. I want to be like him, strong and composed under pressure, but all I can think about is how overwhelming this feels. My breath catches in my throat as Gang Orca moves closer, flanked by his goons.

I need to focus.

I glance at the rubble in front of me, where a few "injured" civilians are still waiting to be rescued. My telekinesis flares to life, lifting the debris away as carefully as I can. But with Gang Orca and his men attacking, my concentration wavers. I feel the weight of Aizawa-Sensei's gaze on me from the bleachers, and it makes my hands shake. I can't afford to mess up-not here. Not today.

"Focus, Mailin," I whisper to myself. But the ground is still shaking, the noise too loud. My heart races.

Suddenly, Midoriya's voice cuts through the chaos. "Everyone, we need to split up! Rescue teams, keep going! The rest of us, take down the villains!"

His words snap me out of my spiral, and I grit my teeth. There's no time for hesitation.

---

Aizawa's POV

From the bleachers, I can see the panic ripple through the stadium as Gang Orca and his team arrive. It's a smart move by the Hero Public Safety Commission. It forces the students to juggle both rescue and combat-a real test of their ability to handle multiple crises at once.

But my eyes keep drifting back to Hoshino. She's trying hard, too hard. I can see it in the way she hesitates when she lifts the rubble, how her focus slips when the explosions get too close. She's powerful, no question about that, but this is exactly what I was worried about-her emotions getting in the way of her control.

I clench my fists. I want to help her, but I can't. She has to learn to push through this on her own.

And then there's Gang Orca.

I trust Midoriya and the others to handle the fight, but I can't shake the uneasy feeling in my gut. Hoshino is in the middle of all this, and I know her well enough to predict that she'll push herself too far if it comes to that.

"Keep it together, Hoshino," I mutter under my breath, my heart pounding in my chest.

---

Mailin's POV

I'm running on instinct now. My telekinesis sweeps debris away from the civilians, but I'm painfully aware of the battle raging nearby. Shoto and Inasa are up ahead, their Quirks colliding as they try to take down Gang Orca. The heat from Shoto's flames mixes with Inasa's wind, creating an unstable whirlwind of fire and air. But they aren't working together-it's chaos.

A violent blast of wind throws me off balance, and I have to catch myself before I fall. My eyes dart to Shoto and Inasa. What are they doing?

Before I can react, I hear a deafening roar. Gang Orca is advancing, his presence dominating the battlefield. He's moving toward the rescue site, where Midoriya and a few others are trying to protect the injured.

I can feel my heart in my throat. I need to do something.

My telekinesis flares again, and I reach out toward the rubble. But as I try to focus, a wave of exhaustion crashes over me. I'm not used to using my Quirk under this kind of pressure. I push harder, ignoring the strain in my arms, but I can't get it all done fast enough. The pressure builds, and I'm already running out of energy.

That's when I see him-Aizawa-Sensei. He's watching me from the bleachers, his expression intense, his eyes never leaving me. I can feel the heat rise to my cheeks, but I can't let him down. Not after everything we've been through. Not when he's counting on me.

I take a deep breath and reach out again, using every ounce of strength I have left. The rubble lifts, piece by piece, until the last civilian is free. I collapse to my knees, gasping for breath, but it's done. I did it.

---

Aizawa's POV

She's pushing herself too hard. I can see it in the way her body shakes, the way she collapses after clearing the rubble. Damn it, Hoshino, you're going to burn yourself out.

But she did it. She got the job done.

Still, I can't shake the knot of worry in my chest. This exam isn't over yet, and she's already at her limit.

Then, the ground shakes again. Gang Orca's roar reverberates through the stadium, and I watch as Shoto and Inasa clash, their Quirks colliding in a disastrous whirlwind. They're not working together, and it's costing them.

My jaw tightens. This is what happens when emotions get in the way. Shoto's baggage with Endeavor, Inasa's grudge-it's all coming to a head, and it's putting everyone at risk.

And then there's Hoshino, right in the middle of it all.

---

Mailin's POV

I'm barely back on my feet when I see it-Gang Orca, advancing toward us. Shoto and Inasa are still bickering, their Quirks spiraling out of control. I grit my teeth. We don't have time for this.

But before I can act, Midoriya is already moving. He launches forward with his enhanced speed, rescuing Yo just in time as Shoto's fire comes dangerously close. His voice cuts through the chaos, sharp and angry.

"Stop fighting! You're putting everyone in danger!"

His words hit hard, and I can see the guilt wash over Shoto and Inasa. They stop, but it's too late. Gang Orca is already closing in.

I take a shaky breath, trying to muster the strength to help. But before I can act, Shoto and Inasa finally team up, their Quirks combining into a fiery whirlwind that engulfs Gang Orca. It's a spectacular display of power, but it's clear they're both at their limit.

And so am I.

The goons are still advancing, but Midoriya, Tsuyu, and the others are holding them off. I want to help, but I can barely stand. My body feels like it's been through the wringer, and I know I can't keep this up much longer.

But then I hear the announcement. The exam is over. We made it.

I fall to my knees, exhausted but relieved. We did it. We passed.
