Mailin’s POV
The arena has just been repaired, and already, the tension in the air feels different. Team Bakugo is next up, facing off against Team Tokage from Class 1-B. As I watch them walk into the battlefield, my thoughts drift back to the last match. The energy from the crowd is still palpable, and the way Team Bakugo carries themselves shows just how determined they are. Bakugo looks fired up, but there’s something more—an intensity that’s hard to miss.
Vlad King’s voice crackles through the stadium speakers, hyping up his class once again. "Team 1-B has the advantage in victories so far. Let’s see if they can maintain that momentum!"
Eijiro and Denki grumble beside me, calling him out for being biased. "Come on, Vlad!" Eijiro calls out, but his frustration quickly turns into laughter as Denki boos with all his might. I can’t help but chuckle too. Class 1-A might be under pressure, but we always know how to keep things light, even in moments like this.
Aizawa-Sensei remains as calm as ever, standing with his arms crossed. His eyes are focused, but I can tell he’s paying close attention to every detail. "Class 1-B’s strategies have been solid so far," he admits, "but this is Bakugo’s chance to show his growth."
My gaze returns to the screen, and I feel the familiar flutter in my chest. Bakugo... his relentless drive to improve, to surpass even All Might, is almost terrifying. I know that today, he’s not going to hold anything back.
As the match begins, Team 1-B, led by Setsuna Tokage, wastes no time. Setsuna’s quirk, Lizard Tail Splitter, allows her to divide her body into multiple parts, and she uses this to launch an all-out assault on Bakugo’s team. Small body parts swarm them, trying to overwhelm Bakugo and his team with sheer numbers.
Bakugo’s quick to react, using his explosions to blast away the flying pieces. "They’re nothing but annoying insects!" he shouts, tearing through the swarm without hesitation.
I can see it on the screen—the others are trying to keep up with Bakugo’s pace. Hanta Sero uses his Tape Quirk to create barriers and block the flying pieces. Meanwhile, Rikido Sato readies himself to defend the team from any falling debris. I can feel the pressure mounting.
But Bakugo... he’s leading the charge. He’s not leaving any room for hesitation, and I can tell his teammates are struggling to keep up with him. Despite the chaos, Bakugo’s voice cuts through, loud and clear. "If you get in trouble, I’ll save you! You do the same for me, got it?"
It’s shocking to hear those words from him. Bakugo isn’t known for teamwork, but here he is, coordinating with his team, ensuring everyone’s safety. For a second, I can’t believe it. His explosive temper is still there, but there’s something new—a resolve to work together.
The camera cuts to Class 1-B’s side, where Tokage’s plan is unfolding. They’re trying to bait Bakugo into overextending himself, waiting for him to make a mistake. But as the battle heats up, it becomes clear: Bakugo isn’t the same person they expect him to be.
Aizawa’s POV
I watch closely as Bakugo leads his team. His growth over these past few months has been nothing short of remarkable. He used to be a lone wolf, relying solely on his overwhelming power to win. But now, he’s working with his team, guiding them, pushing them to succeed alongside him. This is what I’ve been waiting for.
Vlad King’s students may have prepared for Bakugo’s old habits, but they’re not prepared for this version of him.
Bakugo’s not just fighting to win. He’s fighting to prove something—to himself, to his classmates, and maybe even to me. I can feel it in every explosion, in every precise move he makes.

Mailin’s POV
Back on the battlefield, Bakugo charges ahead, blasting his way through Class 1-B’s defense. His speed, precision, and power are unmatched. He takes down one of the 1-B students, and I see the astonishment on their faces. Even Setsuna looks rattled as she tries to keep her team together.
But it’s no use.
Bakugo’s team—Sero, Sato, and Jiro—are all in sync, working seamlessly with him. Every time Class 1-B tries to mount a counterattack, Bakugo’s there to stop it. His explosive quirk is like a force of nature, tearing through everything in its path.
He’s relentless.
I can feel the tension rising in the viewing area as everyone watches Bakugo’s plan unfold. Neito Monoma, ever the loudmouth, is starting to look worried. He’s shouting orders from the sidelines, but even he can see that Class 1-B’s strategy is crumbling.
Then, Bakugo hits them with a devastating move. He launches himself into the air, and with one massive explosion, he takes down another Class 1-B member. The screen flashes with the notification of their disqualification.
The match is over in a matter of minutes.

Mailin’s POV
As the dust settles, the results are announced. Team Bakugo wins with a flawless 4-0 victory, and I’m left stunned. Bakugo didn’t just win—he dominated. And he did it without losing a single teammate.
Everyone in Class 1-A is cheering. Even Aizawa-Sensei can’t hide a small hint of approval as he nods toward the screen. Bakugo... he really has changed.
I watch as Bakugo turns toward the camera, his expression fierce and determined. "I told you, Deku! You better keep up!" he shouts, his voice echoing through the stadium.
Beside me, Midoriya smiles, though I can see the fire in his eyes. "I will," he whispers softly.

Aizawa’s POV
Class 1-B fought well, but Bakugo’s team was a step ahead in every way. His leadership, his strategy, and his ability to adapt on the battlefield have all improved dramatically. It’s no longer just about power with him. He’s learned control, and that makes him even more dangerous.
As much as I hate to admit it, I’m proud. Bakugo has come a long way. But this isn’t the end for him. There’s still so much more he has to learn.

Mailin’s POV
As the teams head back to the waiting area, I feel a rush of excitement for my own battle. If Bakugo can show this kind of growth, what about me? I’ve been training hard, pushing myself to the limit. The Provisional License Exam is my next big test, but before that... it’s my turn to show what I can do in this joint training.
I glance at the screen, seeing the next team being prepared for battle. Team Midoriya is up next.
My heart pounds in anticipation.
