Mailin’s POV:
The days following my confession to Class 2-A have been surprisingly... normal. Well, as normal as things can be when your classmates know you’re secretly dating their homeroom teacher. The teasing hasn’t stopped, but it’s taken on a more playful tone, with Mina leading the charge, of course.
Today is no different.
“Mailin!” Mina calls as I step into the common area. “We were just talking about how Aizawa-sensei has been looking way more relaxed lately. I wonder why that could be?” She winks at me, her grin absolutely devilish.
I freeze mid-step, feeling my face heat up instantly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I mumble, trying to play it cool, but the smirks around the room say it all.
“Oh, come on!” Kaminari chimes in, leaning back against the couch with his usual cocky grin. “It’s gotta be because of you, Mailin. Sensei’s been way less grumpy ever since you two started... you know.” He waggles his eyebrows suggestively, and Kirishima laughs.
I roll my eyes but can’t hide the smile tugging at my lips. “He’s still the same old Aizawa. Trust me.”
“Same?” Mina interrupts, giggling. “I doubt that. I bet you’ve softened him up. Does he smile more when he’s with you?”
I open my mouth to respond, but Bakugo, who’s been silent up until now, cuts in with his signature scowl. “Who cares? Just don’t let him slack off in training ‘cause of you.”
I glare at Bakugo. “I’d never let that happen.”
The teasing continues, with everyone throwing in their playful remarks, until we hear a familiar voice from behind us.
“Is there a reason why I’m the topic of conversation?”
Everyone falls silent. We all turn slowly to see Aizawa standing in the doorway, his arms crossed, and his usual deadpan expression fixed firmly on his face.
“Oh, uh... hey, Sensei!” Kaminari stammers, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “We were just... you know... talking about hero training.”
“Right,” Aizawa drawls, his eyes narrowing slightly as he steps into the room. His gaze flicks over the group, and I can practically feel the heat rising in my cheeks.
Mina, of course, doesn’t miss a beat. “We were just wondering, Sensei,” she says, her voice dripping with mischief, “if your improved mood lately has anything to do with Mailin.”
Aizawa’s eyes shift to me, and for the briefest moment, I swear I see the corner of his mouth twitch in amusement. But then he fixes Mina with a pointed look. “I don’t have a ‘mood.’”
Mina smirks. “Oh really? Because we’ve all noticed how much less you’ve been scolding us lately.”
Aizawa raises an eyebrow. “Less scolding? Should I fix that?”
The entire class groans in unison, and I can’t help but laugh. “Mina, don’t poke the bear,” I whisper under my breath, though I’m sure Aizawa hears it.
Mina leans closer to me and whispers, “I don’t know... I think he likes being poked.”
I elbow her in the ribs, my face burning. “Stop it!”

Aizawa’s POV:
It’s amazing how quickly the class dynamic changes once everyone knows. I was expecting chaos, but... it’s surprisingly manageable. The teasing is relentless, but mostly harmless. Still, I’m keeping a close eye on things. I can’t have them crossing any lines—especially not with Mailin.
As I watch them interact, my gaze falls on her. She’s blushing, laughing softly at something Mina said. She’s handling this well, but I can tell she’s still adjusting to the way things are now. So am I.
When I walk into the room and hear them talking about me, I almost groan aloud. I’m used to them acting like this, but now that they know about us... it feels different. And not necessarily in a bad way.
They look at me expectantly, probably waiting for me to react to their comments about my “mood.” I stay silent, though, watching as Mailin tries to deflect the attention from herself. She’s doing a decent job, but I can tell she’s embarrassed.
I lean against the wall, my arms crossed, and let them stew for a moment longer before finally speaking. “If you all spent as much time focusing on your training as you do on my personal life, you’d be pro heroes by now.”
Kaminari chuckles nervously. “We’re just making sure Sensei’s taken care of!”
I raise an eyebrow. “I don’t need you to worry about me.”
Mina giggles, clearly enjoying the way this is going. “Oh, we’re not worried. We just think it’s adorable how soft you are on Mailin!”
Mailin buries her face in her hands, clearly mortified, and I decide that’s enough for now. “Alright,” I say, my voice firm but calm. “Enough. Get back to work.”
They scatter, grumbling, but the teasing smiles remain.

Mailin’s POV:
After the teasing dies down, I manage to slip away from the group, feeling a little overwhelmed. I head toward the training grounds, needing some space to clear my head.
Before long, I hear footsteps behind me, and I know it’s Shota before I even turn around. He’s always so quiet, but I can feel his presence, like an invisible tether between us.
“You okay?” he asks, his voice low and steady as he falls into step beside me.
I nod, though I can’t help but sigh. “They’re relentless.”
“They’re just having fun,” he says. “You handled it well.”
I smile up at him, grateful for his calm reassurance. “It’s just... a lot. I’m not used to everyone knowing.”
He pauses, his gaze softening. “If it ever gets too much, you let me know. We can keep our distance during class if that helps.”
I shake my head quickly. “No, I don’t want that. I’m okay. It’s just... different.”
He nods, his hand brushing lightly against mine as we walk. It’s a small, fleeting touch, but it sends a spark through me. “They’ll get used to it,” he says quietly. “Eventually.”
I glance up at him, feeling that familiar warmth settle in my chest. “And what about you?”
He raises an eyebrow. “Me?”
I nod, grinning. “How do you feel about all the teasing?”
He smirks, and I can see the faintest hint of amusement in his eyes. “I think they enjoy seeing me uncomfortable.”
I laugh, the tension finally easing from my shoulders. “Well, you do have that reputation for being all serious and grumpy. It’s probably refreshing for them to see you... flustered.”
He chuckles softly, shaking his head. “I’m never flustered.”
I grin. “Oh really? I seem to remember a certain conversation involving the word ‘Daddy’ that left you pretty flustered.”
He freezes for a moment, his expression unreadable, and then he sighs. “You’re never letting that go, are you?”
“Nope,” I say, giggling as I nudge him with my shoulder. “It’s too good.”
He shakes his head, but I can see the smile tugging at his lips. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it,” I tease, my heart feeling lighter with every step we take together.
