Mailin's POV

The battlefield roars with chaos. The air is thick with the scent of smoke and blood, the ground trembling beneath my feet as destruction reigns all around me. But none of it registers—not the screams, not the explosions, not the crumbling buildings. My entire world narrows to one point, one sight that burns into my mind like a brand.

Shota.

Shigaraki’s cruel smile gleams in the distance as he lunges toward him. The image sears itself into my soul, freezing my blood in my veins. Every muscle in my body locks up, paralyzed by the horror unfolding in front of me.

Shota is too far. I can’t reach him in time.

No. No, no, no...

Ryukyu grabs Shigaraki, yanking him back, but I can see it in his eyes—he’s not done. His movements are desperate, reckless, a predator with nothing to lose. He pulls out a Quirk-Destroying bullet, its deadly glint sending a jolt of fear through me.

Time slows. The battlefield fades into a haze. Ryukyu's voice is distant, muffled as she shouts a warning. Deku and Bakugou launch themselves at Shigaraki, their power shaking the earth. But I know it’s not enough.

Shigaraki dodges easily, his focus locked onto Shota. His grin widens as he releases the bullet.

No. NO!

The bullet flies, aimed straight at Shota’s leg. My heart stops. My breath catches. I try to scream, but no sound comes out.

Shota moves, grim with determination. He pulls out his knife and, in one brutal motion, cuts through his own leg.

Everything goes still.

The bullet’s path is stopped, but the cost...

Something snaps inside me.

I can feel it—the dam holding back my fear, my grief, my helplessness—shattering. The pain, the terror, the unbearable sight of Shota cutting through his own flesh crashes down on me like a tidal wave.

And then... I lose control.

Aizawa’s POV

The pain in my leg is nothing compared to the dread clawing at me. I’ve handled pain before, but this... this is different.

The air around us shifts violently. Mailin’s power erupts like a storm, raw and fierce, spreading across the battlefield. I feel it before I see it—a force so strong it shakes the very earth beneath me.

“Mailin…” I whisper, but my voice is swallowed by the roar of her power.

I turn, and there she is.

The air crackles with her energy, the ground trembling as her telekinesis surges out in waves. It pulls everything into its orbit—debris, rubble, even the dust is caught in the storm of her emotions.

Her eyes burn, glowing with a fury that sends a shiver down my spine.

And then... everything around her begins to rise.

Mailin’s POV

The battlefield disappears. All I see is Shota—his leg severed, blood pooling around him. The man who gave everything to save me. The man I love.

Time stops.

The world freezes, but inside, I am burning.

The fear, the helplessness—it all twists together into something monstrous, something too big to contain. The dam breaks, and the storm crashes through. Raw, unrelenting rage swells inside me, too powerful to stop.
