Instead of trying to coordinate with the other avengers and try figure out a way to get to Wakanda via some sort of ship, Loki and I decided to just use the Tesseract to get there, as we had to take it with us anyway. I changed into my suit that Tony and Natasha had made for me as Loki made his way to one of the many weaponry rooms in the compound, grabbing whatever he wanted from in there. I knew Tony may not be the happiest person when I had to tell him that I gave Loki full access to all his little very dangerous toys, but I was certain he'd understand... surely.
Once I had gotten changed and tied my hair up into a tight ponytail, I joined the god in the weaponry room, choosing some guns for myself out of the array before us, holstering them in my suits belt along with the gun I had already been given by Natasha. Remembering her words about how I should be prepared for any sort of attack at any time, I grabbed hold of two long daggers last minute and secured them in the back of my belt. I thought about taking a bow with me as well, but I knew that I still wasn't good enough to rely on it as a weapon just yet, and that if I took it, the bow and arrows would just be weighing me down for no use, so I decided to leave it be for then. Loki raised an eyebrow at me as I walked up to him, the man noticeably only having taken a few daggers and knifes, staying away from any real ranged weapons. "Well, don't you look terrifying."
I almost laughed at his tone, "Glad you think so, Loki. Are we ready to go?" I tried to think about everything that had to be taken care of before we left for Wakanda. The main two things I had been worried about were making sure I got to say goodbye to my parents before the battle, since I knew the snap was going to take place, and... I had no idea if I would dust in it, or even worse, if I lost them, so I had made sure to call and say goodbye to both, unable to really explain what was going to happen, but I knew they understood it wasn't going to be good from the tone of my voice. Thankfully, they also seemed to understand that I couldn't go into any details, and our conversation was short but sweet, and I was just glad I could get to speak to them once before anything happened. The second thing that had been weighing on me was what would happen to Nixie alone at the compound with no one there to look after her, since she was still so small and needed to be taken care of, but to my relief Pepper had assured me that she would take the kitten to her house and keep her there for as long as necessary, and that seemed perfect to me since I already knew Pepper didn't get dusted at all.
"Of course I am, shall we?" Loki said, and it took me a second to remember what I had even asked him as a million thoughts had crossed my mind in the time that I had said something to him and he had replied, but when I finally understood, I nodded and Loki held his arm out to me, which I took and we were immediately somewhere else. It was a relief to not land on the floor a second time, especially since when I looked around, I realised that the two of us were standing in the middle of a room filled with avengers. I wasn't sure how Loki had managed to teleport us straight into Shuri's lab from the looks of it, but I wasn't going to start complaining as I was met with the smiles of some of my favourite people. I realised that I was still holding onto Loki's arm when Tony raised his eyebrows at us, and that prompted me to let go of the man and walk over to Natasha, who was the closest to us, giving her a hug.
"Oh my god I can't tell you how good it is to see you guys. No offense to Loki and all, but bloody hell was I getting tired of being stuck in the compound." Both Loki and I knew that I was played up how much I had really minded spending time with him, but that was a thing that could stay between us for the time being. "I would love to catch up with you guys and all, but I'm afraid we're not going to have the time—Loki and I got back from Titan just around fifteen minutes ago, so he could be here any time. Things didn't go... exactly how we had planned, but he does have three stones, and most importantly doesn't suspect anything other than that we failed with whatever our plan was." I quickly explained what had happened, leaving out any of my inner thoughts as I knew those weren't the most sensible things to have been thinking in moments of danger, but it wasn't like I felt bad for excluding them as they weren't important or anything.
