It may have been rude, but I just looked over to Natasha in a plea of help and buried my head in my hands as she summarised my existence as quickly as she could.

"Holy shit... so you're from the future?! Y-you're from another universe!? What happens to me? Do we win? Do I ever get a-" Sam started off immediately, but Natasha once again came to my rescue, understanding I couldn't start talking about all of this once again.

"Sam." She said sternly, and I looked up to she her shake her head at him, picking up a toast slice of her own. "Lets got back to the point. The real question is, how do the two—maybe three, most wanted people in Washington kidnap a SHIELD officer in broad daylight?" Natasha said with almost a hint of a laugh in her voice.

"The answer is... you don't." Sam said, walking over to where Steve sat and handing him a booklet of sorts.

"What's this?" Cap asked, leaning forward to get a better look at the paper lying in front of him.

"Call it a resume." Sam replied simply, a smirk on his face as Natasha walked over to take a look at it as well.

"Is this Bakhmala?" she asked, not taking her eyes off the paper she was holding, "The Khalid Khandil mission, that was you?" Natasha turned to Steve. "You didn't say he was a pararescue."

Steve took a picture from her, looking up at Sam once he'd looked over it. "Is this Riley?" he asked and Sam nodded. I watched the whole conversation go down in fascination—as if seeing it for the first time. If I was being totally honest, I had this little problem called 'unable to pay attention to literally anything' which meant I didn't remember half the details about movies I watched, just the basic plot which went down.

"I heard they couldn't bring in the choppers because of the RPG's. What did you use—a stealth chute?" Natasha asked, suddenly seeming interested in the conversation.

"No, these." Sam said, holding out the file he'd thrown to Steve to her. I smiled from my position still at the table, knowing exactly what was coming next.

"I thought you said you were a pilot." Steve said incredulously, looking at the images inside the file over Natasha's shoulder.

"I never said pilot." Sam smirked. Steve went on to say that he couldn't ask him to do this, to which Sam immediately shut him down, saying that he was more than willing to help when Captain America needed his help. Natasha then asked about where they could get one of his falcon suits, which he said there was only one left, that too sitting behind a twelve inch thick steel door. Of course, that wasn't an issue for Steve and Natasha, as the later shrugged, saying it wouldn't be too hard.

Half an hour later I was standing on some random rooftop with Natasha Romanoff as we waited for Steve and Sam to get back here with the dirty SHIELD agent. It was almost impossible to comprehend that I was actually on a mission with Black Widow, the two of us talking as if we were actual partners—not me just some random fan of hers. It was strange, but... nice. "Hey, be honest with me for a second. Does this work out? Do we get rid of HYRDA?" Natasha asked suddenly, pulling me from my thoughts as I turned to face her.

"Okay, so asked me to be honest—so I'm going to do just that. I... I don't know what I'm allowed to tell you guys. And that scares me. Look—if I say something I'm not meant to... who knows? I could screw up the whole timeline and then my knowledge would be no help, because everything would play out differently. There's... there's this gut, called Doctor Strange. Basically he can see the future by controlling time and see, I'm not sure if I'm even meant to be telling you about him but I'm risking this much—there's a battle that takes place, in which he categorically tells Tony that he can not tell him how the war plays out, because then it wouldn't happen. So I... I don't know what I'm meant to say. But, I wouldn't be here if I didn't think there was a chance we can win."
