My mind felt excitement as Gideon's words fell into my ears, i had already expected gaining a regalia, but experiencing it first hand really eased my worry.

What if it didn't work?

What if it damages my core?

What if despite it being successful, i am the only one capable of receiving it?

What if the ability of this rune is useless to me?

Several questions roamed my head for a second. But of course, i have to test this mark before arriving at any conclusions, though i would really prefer it if the twin horns gained runes. Gideon slowly walked up towards the platform that i sat on.

"Arthut, what do you feel?" He said nonchanlantly.

"It seems okay to me" i muttered. However, i couldn't help but remember one thing. "And you said that you already have a rune, which means that it is also okay for my family to have them, right?"

"That is true, when i deemed it possible, i immediately conducted a bestowal to myself. Although, i went through a lot of pain for a minute before fainting." He stopped for a moment before continuing.

"However, it seems that undergoing the bestowal didn't give you that much pain unlike me"

"Well that's just because i have a unique body" i shrugged, then sighed. "But as i expected, it still seems too much for a normal person to undergo the bestowals."

"But i did fine though?" He tried to argue.

"You said you went through a lot of pain right? You lasted a minute before passing out right? so what happened to your core?" As i said these words, my eyes shifted to my family and lastly, my eyes stuck to eli the most.

"A yes.." Gideon muttered nonchanlantly.

"How long did you feel out of consciousness?" I inquired nonchanlantly which contrasted the growing anxiety inside me.

"Master was unconscious for two weeks" Emily answered instead, the atmosphere became more silent because of this.

It's dangerous.

I concluded, if Gideon couldn't bear it and fainted, just what would happen to Alice and Eleonor? It is only understandable, without Lyra's assistance, Gideon doesn't have enough sources of knowledge at the moment. This resulted in him not perfecting the technology.

'maybe Reynolds can do it, but it could also knock him unconscious' i thought, my eyes returning to my family.

"It can't be helped then, guys. I can't let you proceed with the bestowals" i announced, but before i could take a step closer to them, Reynolds held up his palm.

"No Arthur please, let me"

"You don't understand dad, it is dangerous as these bestowals we're talking about are still not perfect" i said,  or probably shouted.

Alice also seemed to be worried as she took hold of Reynolds arm. "Rey don't force yourself! If this bestowal thing they're talking about is dangerous as they say, then only Arthur can do it! Although i hate it when Art gets hurt, he still has more resistance for some reason, and you don't ha-"

"I know!" Reynolds shouted, startling both Alice and El.

"I just.." Reynolds remained silent, probably gathering his thoughts.

"A long time ago, i already accepted the fact that Art is growing stronger than me, and he will keep on doing so." He said with a calm expression. "But his strength might give him.. no.. his strength will definitely give him a heavy responsibility in the future, i just know it. After all, power also gives you responsibilities, and right now, i feel as if Arthur can even catch up with the lances, he might even be able to go toe to toe with them right now."
