I walked inside the mansion, my shadow cast over the walls; everything felt quite like we were mourning here. This feeling is something which was deeply buried in the past.

A chill crept down my spine as I moved deeper into the mansion. It was as if the house itself was holding its breath, waiting for something. The grand staircase, usually a beacon of elegance, looked like a shadowy, mournful creature.

The last time I felt something like this was before bhai's marriage after yuvika bhabhi 's presence in this palace had come alive.

Before Yuvika bhabhi, our world was monochrome, a dull canvas devoid of color. Dad's death had painted it black, and had washed away even the shades of gray. Life was a meaningless, endless winter. There was nothing to anticipate, no warmth, no light.

Yuvika bhabhi had healed something she never broke.

My mother had planted seeds of doubt, whispering that love wasn't made for us; we were unworthy of it. Her words had cast a long shadow, convincing us that we were destined to stay alone.

But then came Bhabhi. She didn't fix us; she showed us that we were already whole, beautiful pieces of a puzzle waiting to be assembled. With gentle hands, she dusted away the despair, revealing the vibrant colors we had forgotten existed.

She made us believe in everything all over again. And love wasn'ta distant star, but a warm hearth within reach.

It was ironic that one woman broke us and another healed us

As pounding headache racked my brain, each throb a painful reminder of the overwhelming day. For the first time in my career, I stood helpless in court, unable to defend my own client. It was as if I were a clueless fool, watching the opposing counsel unravel a case I hadn't even grasped

The judge's gavel slammed down, a sharp crack that seemed to echo in the confines of my skull.

My vision blurred at the edges, and a wave of dizziness washed over me. As I recalled that I had just survived on coffee from yesterday. And it's been a whole day and I didn't even had anything. A cold sweat broke out on my brow as I fought to regain my Composure.

I took the lift to my floor. Pushing the door aside, the harsh light assaulted my eyes, giving me a headache. She was sitting on the edge of the bed. I walked straight into the closet.

"You're late, Yuvika was-" I closed the door without listening. After refreshing, I emerged with a growling stomach. Food soundedgood, but disturbing someone at 1:30 AM seemed wrong, and I was too lazy to go downstairs.

"You're ignoring me again," I heard her say. I gulped down the last of my water, pretending not to hear.

I wasn't in the mood to deal with her. It would only raise my blood pressure.
