(Author's POV)
"And in the evening my parents went out and we waited and waited and waited..." he paused to wipe away his tears and then said, "until some people came with their dead bodies. I was thinking what my parents must have done that they took their lives. What must have happened to them at that time. How much pain they must have suffered. We both were very young but we were not stupid to understand that our parents will never wake up again. We understood this much that now we will never be able to hear their voices, never be able to hear their laughter, never be able to run and hug them."
There was pin drop silence for a moment and Enzo broke it saying, "this was the day when your father found these two orphan children and brought us to his home."
After hearing Enzo's painful story, Maya and Monica could not hold back their tears and Maya hugged him. He cried in Maya's embrace and said, "Maya, I found a way to keep my sister away from the curse but why couldn't I save my parents? Why couldn't I save them from those wicked humans?...I-I c-couldn't save them, Maya. I couldn't."
"Enzo, I know that no one can bring back what you have lost, no one can fill the void in your life, but I can assure you that no matter what happens, I will never leave you." She said.
"Me too. From today all three of us will fight this battle together." Monica said and Enzo nodded smiling with dewy eyes.

(One week later; present time)
(Maya's POV)"Give me the car keys, I have to go to the studio." I said to Monica.
"I am taking the car." She said.
"Why? Where?" I asked.
"C'mon Maya, I am going to my clinic as usual." She said.
"So how do I go there then?" I asked.
"Take the bus." She said.
"Nope" I said and...
"Hey guys!" Enzo popped out of nowhere.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Rude! Just wanted to see my friends." He said.
"Us?" I asked.
"No, I have a plenty of human friends." He said, mocking me.
"You came at the right time, Enzo. I am going to my work so will you drop this stubborn kid to the studio?" Monica asked him.
"Sure!" He said.
"I'm not going with this creak-head." I said and he replied, "I have rabbit ears."
"I don't care." I said.
"Then you run. You'll reach there faster than any car or bus." He said.
"Not doing that either." I said.
