Chapter 33: Chaos, Calm, and Reflection
---
Y/N Comes Home After the Match
Y/N arrives home after a successful match, her heart swelling as she steps into the house. The sound of laughter fills the air, and she can hear River running around. She smiles as she enters, seeing Dua chasing River, trying to get him into his pajamas. Oscar, their dog, is jumping around excitedly, making everything more chaotic.
River, in nothing but a diaper, spots Y/N and runs towards her. "Mama!" he squeals, hiding behind her legs. Oscar jumps up to greet her as well.
Dua, catching her breath, shakes her head. "He refuses to get into his pajamas. I've tried everything."
Y/N chuckles, scooping River up. "Are you being a cheeky monkey?" River giggles in response, holding onto her tightly.
Y/N kisses his forehead and hands him back to Dua, playfully ruffling his hair. After much laughter and wriggling, they finally manage to get River dressed. With the chaos beginning to settle, they share a tired but contented smile.

The Night Winding Down
Once River is asleep, with Oscar curled up next to him, Y/N and Dua finally relax on the couch. Dua leans into Y/N, sighing softly. "Tour days are coming up," she says quietly.
Y/N nods, knowing what’s coming. "How long this time?"
"Two weeks," Dua replies. "Five cities, back-to-back."
Y/N rubs Dua’s back, sensing her sadness. "That’s a long time," she says gently.
"I hate leaving you both," Dua admits, her voice breaking slightly. "I wish you could come."
Y/N presses a kiss to her head. "You know we’d love to, but I’ve got matches, and River’s a bit too small for life on tour."
Dua sighs, snuggling closer. "I know. It’s just hard."
Y/N pulls her close, kissing her again. "We’ll be fine. We’ll FaceTime every day, and I’ll make sure River knows Mummy is just a call away."
Dua nods, comforted. "I’m lucky to have you," she whispers.
Y/N smiles softly. "We’re a team. We’ve got this."

The Day Dua Leaves: Chaos Ensues
On the day Dua leaves, Y/N takes time off to be with her. But River senses something is wrong. As Dua packs, River grows restless, tugging on her shirt. "Mummy going?"
Dua kneels, tears in her eyes. "Yes, baby, but I’ll be back soon, I promise."
River’s face crumples, and he bursts into tears, yelling, "No! Mummy stay!"
Y/N steps in, picking River up to soothe him as Oscar paces anxiously around them. The house is filled with emotional chaos as Y/N tries to calm River while Dua wipes away her own tears.
"Shh, buddy. Mummy will be back soon. We’re going to have fun while she’s gone, okay?" Y/N coos, rubbing River’s back.
Dua watches, her heart heavy but full of love. She steps forward, hugging them both tightly. "I love you both so much."
"We love you too," Y/N replies softly. After a few more tearful goodbyes, Y/N calms both River and Oscar down. Dua gives them one last kiss before stepping out the door, her eyes filled with longing.
Y/N watches her go, feeling a mixture of sadness and pride. "We’ll be okay," she whispers.
