As YN lay in bed, tossing and turning, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. Her eyes flicked open, and she glanced around the room. The dim light of dawn filtered through her curtains, but the space beside her was empty.
She quickly sat up, her heart racing. "Where did he go?" she murmured to herself, checking her phone. The time read 5:30 in the morning. With a sigh, she tossed the blanket aside and padded to the washroom, half expecting to find him there, but it was empty.
YN's POV: Why am I upset that he's not here? Did I really expect him to stay? She ran her fingers through her hair, her mind racing. How could I have slept when he was so close? Was it a dream? Her fingers touched her lips as she remembered the warmth from the night before.
Did he kiss me? she wondered, her heart skipping a beat. She shook her head, trying to clear the confusing thoughts. Maybe he went home... but why didn't he wake me up before leaving?
Unable to sleep any longer, she got dressed and headed downstairs. The scent of breakfast filled the air, and her parents were already seated at the kitchen table. Jiho had already left for school, so YN sat down to eat with them, but her thoughts kept drifting to Jimin.
"Morning, Muffin," her dad said, peering over his newspaper.
"Good morning, sweetie," her mom added, placing more food on the table. YN smiled at them absentmindedly, trying to focus, but her mind was elsewhere.
Just as she finished her breakfast, Bora came bounding into the house, her usual energetic self.
"Hey, Muffin!" Bora greeted, plopping down beside YN. "Ready for today?"
But YN wasn't paying attention. Her mind was still stuck on Jimin-his surprise visit, his warmth, the way he left without saying goodbye.
Bora squinted at her, waving a hand in front of her face. "Hello? Earth to Muffin! What's going on with you?"
YN blinked, coming back to reality. "Huh? Oh, nothing..."
"Liar," Bora said, narrowing her eyes. "Something's on your mind. What happened?"
YN hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Jimin... he came over last night... through my window."
Bora's eyes widened as she nearly choked on air. "WHAT?" she screamed, making YN flinch.
"Shhh!" YN hissed, covering her ears. "You're going to make me deaf!"
"What do you mean he came through your window? What happened? Tell me everything!" Bora demanded, leaning in with an eager expression.
YN bit her lip, her cheeks flushing slightly. "We... we slept together."
Bora's jaw dropped. "You what?"
"Not like that!" YN quickly corrected, feeling her face grow even hotter. "He hugged me, we fell asleep, and nothing happened. But when I woke up this morning, he was gone."
Bora blinked, trying to process the information. "So... wait... you're telling me Jimin, the same Jimin who has been teasing and annoying you for months, came over, snuck into your room, and slept next to you?"
YN nodded. "Yes... but I just don't understand why he left without telling me. It's weird, right?"
Bora laughed and shook her head. "Maybe he didn't want to wake you up. Or... maybe he's just shy about his feelings. But come on, Muffin, it's obvious something's up with him. You're on his mind, that's for sure."
YN sighed, still unsure. "But it's so confusing. Why is he acting like this now?"
Bora leaned closer, her voice teasing. "Maybe because he's falling for you, and he doesn't know how to handle it.
After reaching college, YN watched as Jimin and Jungkook walked toward their class, deep in conversation. Her mind was spinning, filled with questions she couldn't ignore. She needed answers-why had he left so suddenly last night without a word?
"Bora, go to class. I'll catch up," YN said, her tone determined.
Bora gave her a puzzled look but shrugged. "Don't take too long, Muffin," she said before heading toward their classroom.
With Bora out of sight, YN hurried after Jimin and Jungkook. As soon as they reached a quieter part of the hall, she seized her chance. Without thinking, she grabbed Jimin by the arm and pulled him to the side, away from Jungkook's view.
Jimin, startled, put on a cold expression, not realizing at first who had pulled him. But when he turned and saw YN, his features softened instantly.
"Whoa, Muffin?" he said, slightly surprised but amused.
YN dropped his arm, folding her own across her chest as she stared at him. "When did you leave last night? And why didn't you wake me up?" Her words were sharp but laced with the confusion and frustration that had been bubbling inside her all morning.
Jimin took a step closer, his teasing smirk already forming. "Why, did you miss me? Upset I wasn't there when you woke up?" His voice was playful his words made YN's heart skip a beat.
