"Okay, stop now. My daughter is the top of her class; she's getting good grades," YN's father said, his voice softening as he looked at her. "I don't mind you having fun, Muffin. Just remember to balance it out. Now go freshen up; dinner will be ready soon."
"Thanks, Dad!" YN replied, relief washing over her. She gave Bora a quick wave. "See you tomorrow!"
Bora smiled and waved back, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Don't forget to tell me all the details later!" she whispered conspiratorially before heading home.
As YN climbed the stairs, her heart raced with memories of the evening , Once in her room, YN closed the door and leaned against it, taking a deep breath. "What just happened?" she muttered to herself, her heart fluttering. "Jimin is definitely different..."
After a quick freshening up, she sat at her desk, pulling out her diary instead of writing her mind, kept drifting back to Jimin. She picked up her pen, doodling hearts, stars, and his name lost in her thoughts.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed on the table. She glanced at it, her heart leaping when she saw Jimin's name flash on the screen.
Jimin:Hey, Muffin! I just got home. Can't stop thinking about our day together. You made it unforgettable!
YN's heart raced at the message. She quickly typed back, her fingers trembling with excitement.
YN: I had an amazing time, too! You really know how to make a day special.
YN smiled at Jimin's message, warmth spreading through her chest.
Jimin:Will make more in the future. Good night, Muffin.
her heart skipped a beat thinking future,
YN:Good night, jimin!
Meanwhile, back at Jimin's home, he found his parents in the hall, their expressions filled with concern.
"Jimin! Why are you back so late? Where have you been?" his mother asked, crossing her arms.
"I took the car to get a break from studies. Just needed some peace and quiet," he replied, his tone colder than usual.
His mother frowned, clearly displeased. "You're not avoiding your responsibilities. You need to focus on your studies, not run off for fun."
"I'm not avoiding anything, Mom. I just needed a moment to clear my head," Jimin snapped back, frustration bubbling beneath the surface.
His father exchanged a glance with his mother, disappointment etched on his face. "We expect more from you, Jimin. You know that," he said, his tone stern.
Jimin clenched his jaw, frustration boiling over. "I'll handle it," he said, heading to his room, his thoughts swirling with images of YN.
"I think he's getting distracted," his mother said, her voice sharp with concern.
"Agreed," Jimin's father replied, crossing his arms. "He's usually more focused on his studies. This-whatever it is-might be affecting him."
"I have to do something about this," his mother declared, a determined tone in her voice.
His father nodded, a serious expression settling on his face. "We can't let him lose sight of what's important."
Jimin flopped onto his bed, staring up at the ceiling as a mix of emotions swirled within him. The conversation with his parents still lingered in his mind, but it quickly faded as he pulled out his phone. Thumbing through the pictures from today's carnival, he couldn't help but smile at the sight of YN's laughter frozen in time.
In one photo, her face was lit up with joy as she held the small prize from the dart game. In another, she was mid-laugh while trying a crispy pancake, her eyes sparkling with delight. Jimin couldn't resist a grin, feeling warmth spread through him at the memory.
How is it possible to feel this way about someone? he wondered, biting his lip as he clicked on the picture of them together, standing at the balloon dart game, their hands almost touching. The thought of her made his heart race, the promise of future adventures together sparking excitement in him.
After sending the message, she leaned back on her bed, a giddy feeling bubbling inside her. The day had been perfect—every moment spent with Jimin felt like a dream come true. She recalled the way he had looked at her, his playful smirk, and the way their hands had intertwined. It was like every fluttering feeling inside her had finally found its voice.
She hugged her pillow tightly, imagining Jimin's smile. What will he surprise me with next? The thought made her heart race.
As she lay in the dim light of her room, she let herself drift into thoughts of the day—the laughter, the games, and that sweet moment when Jimin had hugged her. She felt a tingle of butterflies in her stomach, a sensation she had never experienced before. Could this really be happening?
Eventually, she closed her eyes, allowing herself to dream about tomorrow.
