“My son, Jimin, has proven himself capable. But before officially taking on the CEO position, he will spend the next six months proving his worth, leading the company under my guidance, and ensuring a seamless transition.”
Jimin straightened, feeling the weight of every eye in the room shift toward him.
“In six months,” his father continued, “Jimin will take the final vote from the board, and I have no doubt he will secure the position with his dedication and vision.”
Polite applause erupted in the room. Jimin exhaled slowly, nodding at his father in silent gratitude. He knew this was both a challenge and an opportunity.
“And finally,” “There is one more thing,” he said, his voice filled with warmth. “Tonight is not only about business—it’s about family.”
Jimin’s heartbeat quickened. He turned toward the entrance —right on cue, the doors opened.
And there she was.
YN stepped inside, her presence captivating. She wore an elegant dress, simple yet breathtaking, her hair falling in soft waves. The moment she met Jimin’s eyes, she smiled, and everything else blurred into the background.
Jimin walked toward her, offering his hand, which she took without hesitation. He turned back to the guests.
“In one week,” he announced, his voice steady, “YN and Jimin will be getting married.”
Gasps of surprise, followed by excited whispers, filled the room. His mother’s eyes glistened with unshed tears, this time of joy. His father nodded approvingly.
Their families clapped, friends cheered, and Jungkook, Bora, Yn brother and J-Hope whistled from their seats.
Jimin turned back to YN, lifting her hand to his lips and pressing a soft kiss against her knuckles. “And after six months,” he whispered for only her to hear, “I’ll not only be your husband but also the CEO of Park Enterprises.”
YN squeezed his hand. “I never doubted you, Jimin.”
“I would like to formally introduce the parents of my future daughter-in-law, YN,” Jimin’s father continued. “They are not only family now but also people I deeply respect.” He turned toward them, bowing slightly as a sign of honor.
“Thank you for raising such an incredible daughter.”
YN’s father, a man of few words, simply nodded. But the look in his eyes spoke volumes. He had accepted Jimin—not just as his daughter’s love but as his son.
Jimin’s mother, who had been silent all evening, took a deep breath before stepping forward. She looked directly at YN’s mother.
“I want to apologize,” she said, her voice sincere. “For everything. I should have seen YN’s worth from the beginning, but I was blinded by my own pride. I hope you can forgive me.”
The room fell into an uneasy silence.
Then, YN’s mother smiled softly. “All that matters is that our children are happy. Let’s move forward together.”
Relief flooded Jimin.
His mother nodded, wiping the corner of her eye. “Yes. Let’s.”
Jimin turned to YN, whispering, “Did you expect this?”
YN chuckled lightly, shaking her head. “Not at all.”
His father stepped forward once more. “Tonight, we not only celebrate Jimin’s future but also this union of two families. Let’s raise a toast—to love, to success, and to new beginnings.”
Glasses clinked, conversations resumed, and the atmosphere became lighter.
Jimin leaned into YN’s ear, smirking. “See? Our families are finally on the same page. Now, there’s nothing stopping me from making you Mrs. Park.”
YN rolled her eyes playfully. “You were going to do it either way, weren’t you?”
Jimin smirked. “You know me too well, doll.”
As the night continued with congratulations and toasts, Jimin knew this was only the beginning.
The event concluded and everyone began to leave, Jimin pulled YN aside into a quiet hallway.
“You thought I’d let you go without a little alone time?” he murmured, trapping her between him and the wall.
“Jimin—” she began, but he silenced her with a kiss, slow and deep, pouring all his emotions into it.
Her fingers curled around his collar, pulling him closer.
“I can’t wait to call you my wife,” he whispered against her lips.
YN smiled. “Four more days.”
“Too long,” he muttered, nuzzling into her neck. “But for now… just let me hold you.”
And so they stayed there, wrapped in each other’s warmth.
