Jimin's Mom (sneering):
"And you think YN is the answer? That girl and her family are nothing but parasites. Her father works under us—barely capable of holding his position. Her mother couldn't even show her face in proper society. That's the kind of match you think Jimin deserves?"

Jimin's Dad (snapping, voice sharp):
"Enough!"

He takes a step forward, anger boiling over, and before he realizes it, his hand is around her neck. His grip is firm but trembling, as though he's caught between fury and restraint.

Jimin's Dad (low, furious):
"What gives you the right to play with their life like this? He's your son, not your pawn! You will not speak about her or Jimin that way. Do you understand me?"

Jimin's mom gasps, struggling as her hands clutch his wrist. Her face is pale with shock.

Jimin's Mom (choking):
"Let... go...!"

At that moment, Jimin and Jungkook enter the hallway, their eyes widening in horror at the scene. Without hesitation, they rush forward.

Jimin (yelling):
"Appa! Stop!"

Jungkook (grabbing Jimin's dad's arm):
"Mr.Park, let her go!"

Jimin and Jungkook manage to pull Jimin's dad away. He stumbles back, breathing heavily, his hands clenched into fists. Jimin's mom collapses slightly against the wall, coughing and gasping for air.

Jimin (kneeling beside his mom):
"Mom, are you okay? Talk to me!"

Jimin's Mom (still coughing, her voice raspy):
"Ye...s, I'm fine..."

Jimin looks at her with worry while Jungkook keeps an eye on Jimin's dad, who now stands in silence, his face unreadable. Without saying a word, Jimin's dad adjusts his tie and turns away, walking out of the room and back to the party.

Jimin (still concerned):
"What happened? Why would dad do that?"

Jimin's Mom (straightening herself with effort):
"Nothing, sweetheart. He's just... upset about work. Let's not ruin the evening. We have guests to send off."

Jimin and Jungkook exchange a tense, confused glance, neither knowing what to say. After a brief pause, they follow her to the party floor, their minds racing with questions about what they just witnessed.

In the days that follow, Jimin's dad becomes distant, leaving home on a supposed "business trip." He doesn't call or return, further straining the family dynamic. Meanwhile, Jimin and YN grow closer. Despite the playful banter between them, YN keeps her guard up, afraid of being heartbroken again.

Scribbler:
"I don't know why, but every time I talk with you, my heart feels lighter. Like everything's brighter with you around."

YN (playfully replying):
"Are you rehearsing for a drama? That's a cheesy line, Scribbler. Try harder next time."

Scribbler:
"I'm serious. You're special to me."

YN pauses before typing back:
"Don't say words like that... you know they scare me."

Jimin felt bad......

College winter holidays begin, YN is nowhere to be seen. Jimin, missing her terribly, sneaks out of his house at midnight and climbs into her bedroom through the unlocked window.

Jimin (whispering to her sleeping figure):
"How many times do I need to tell you? You'll catch a cold if you don't lock your window..."

He sits on the floor, staring at her peaceful face. His voice is barely audible, filled with regret.

Jimin (quietly to himself):
"I feel like I've come back after years... I messed it up, didn't I? I wanted to protect you, but I've only hurt you."

The following morning, YN woke up with a strange feeling, sensing something off but shrugging it off as her imagination.

one day at the Park family dining room...

Jimin's Dad (sternly, to Jimin):
"I've severed all business ties with Ji-won's family. There are... irreconcilable issues with their business practices. Effective immediately, I don't want you associating with Ji-won anymore."

Jimin (trying to sound indifferent but relieved):
"Understood."

Jimin's Mom (in disbelief):
"But why cut ties now? Do you realize how this could affect—"

Jimin's Dad (sharply interrupting):
"I've made my decision. This discussion is over."

Jimin exchanged a quick glance with his mother before excusing himself, hiding the smile that tugged at his lips.

Later that evening, Jimin sits on couch, staring at his phone. His thumb hovers over the keyboard as his heart pounds in his chest. He knows this message could change everything—one way or another. After taking a deep breath, he finally types and sends the message.

Scribbler (texting):
Hey doll... can we meet tomorrow?

YN is sitting by her window, staring at the city lights when her phone buzzes. Seeing Scribbler's message, her heart skips a beat. She opens it quickly, her mind already swirling with questions.

YN (replying):

Meet? Why? You've never asked to meet before.

Jimin bites his lip, staring at her response. His hands tremble slightly as he types.

Scribbler:

There's something I need to tell you. It's important.

YN reads the reply and frowns. She's hesitant, torn between excitement and fear. Her fingers hover over the keyboard as she types a cautious response.

YN:

What is it? Can't you just tell me here?
