Jimin took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. Scribbler was supposed to be her mystery confidant, someone she could lean on without knowing it was actually him. He needed to approach her carefully, to be supportive without revealing himself. He quickly typed his next message.
Scribbler: So, what's been keeping you busy lately?
Jimin stared at the screen, tapping his fingers nervously on the desk as he waited. Every second felt longer than the last, and he couldn't help but glance at Jungkook, who was sitting nearby, giving him a reassuring look.
Jungkook leaned back, watching his friend. "She'll reply, hyung. Just give her some time."
A few moments later, Jimin's phone buzzed, and his eyes widened when he saw YN's reply. He read it quickly, feeling relief and a hint of happiness. She was talking to him again, even if it was through Scribbler.
He couldn't hold it in. He stood up, pulling Jungkook into a tight hug, his voice barely above a whisper. "She replied, Kook. She's talking to me again. It's a start."
Jungkook laughed, patting Jimin on the back. "See? Told you, hyung. Just be patient and keep things simple."
Jimin pulled back, feeling lighter than he had in days. The ache was still there, but knowing YN was willing to talk, even in a small way, gave him hope. He opened her message, heart pounding.
YN: Just school stuff. And... I don't know, just trying to keep my mind off things.
He thought about what to say, wanting to show he cared without making her feel pressured. He quickly typed a reply.
Scribbler: Are you okay, doll?
A few seconds later, his phone buzzed again.
YN: I'm okay, but can I talk with you later? I'm not feeling well.
Jimin's chest tightened, wishing he could be there to comfort her. But all he could do was offer her his words, hoping they would be enough.
Scribbler: Take rest, doll. Just know that I'm here for you whenever you need to talk.
Jimin sat back, exhaling slowly as he put his phone down. His mind was flooded with memories-her smile, the way she looked when he held her close, the warmth he felt when she trusted him. That moment was everything, and he wanted nothing more than to earn her trust again.
YN: Thank you, Scribbler. You always know just what to say... good night.
Jimin's heart lifted a little. Even though she was hurting, even though they were miles apart emotionally, he still had this small connection with her. Jimin was trying his best to focus on the lecture, but his mind kept drifting back to YN. She hadn't shown up for class today, and he couldn't shake the worry gnawing at him. He glanced down at his phone, hoping for a message, but it was still silent.
Suddenly, a voice interrupted his thoughts. "Hey, Jimin," Ji-Won's voice was overly sweet, almost too sweet, as she slid into the seat next to him, leaning in close enough that he could feel her presence even before he saw her. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."
Jimin barely looked at her, trying to ignore the way she was invading his personal space. "Ji-Won, I'm kind of busy right now," he muttered, not wanting to engage.
But Ji-Won didn't seem to care. She leaned in even closer, her perfume heavy in the air, her voice low and deliberately flirtatious. "Oh, come on, Jimin. You've been working so hard lately. Why don't you take a little break? I can make it worth your while."
Jimin shot her a quick glance, irritation bubbling in his chest. He knew exactly where this was going. "I'm not interested, Ji-Won."
Her eyes sparkled with that same overconfident gleam. "Not even a little? I know you're worried about that girl-what's her name? YN? You're wasting your time with her, Jimin. She's not worth it. She's too... complicated. I can make you forget all about her. You won't need her anymore."
Jimin's jaw tightened. He didn't even have to think twice about it. "I'm not going to forget about her. And I don't need your help."
But Ji-Won wasn't done. She took a step closer, her voice lowering even more. "But you will, Jimin. You just need someone who understands you, someone who doesn't come with all the drama. I'll make sure you forget about her... and maybe you'll even start liking me."
Jimin clenched his fists, trying to keep his cool. "No, Ji-Won. You're wasting your time."
She didn't back off, though. "What if I told you that I could make all the stress go away? Forget school, forget YN, and just have some fun together. I'll take care of you."
As she spoke, Bora and Jungkook, who were sitting nearby, exchanged annoyed glances. Bora rolled her eyes, nudging Jungkook to get his attention. Jungkook was glaring at Ji-Won, his expression sour. He leaned in toward Bora and whispered, "Does she ever take a hint?"
Bora shook her head, her lips tight in frustration. "She's trying way too hard.
