Jimin remained in his spot, his chest heavy with emotion, unable to tear himself away. Jungkook pulled his car up a few moments later, parking just beside Jimin.
"Let's go, Jimin," Jungkook said gently, his voice full of quiet understanding.
Jimin didn't answer right away. Instead, he started crying, his emotions spilling over all at once. The guilt, the sorrow, the regret-it all came crashing down on him. He didn't want to leave her. He couldn't just walk away after seeing her like that. His voice cracked as he whispered, "I hurt her, Jungkook. I hurt her so much. I don't want to leave her."
Jungkook didn't hesitate. He pulled Jimin into a tight hug, his hand gently patting Jimin's back. "Hyung, please don't cry. We'll figure it out. I know you're hurting, but we'll make things right. Just... don't give up on her. Don't give up on yourself."
Jimin clung to Jungkook, the tears flowing freely now. The pain of seeing YN like this, knowing he had caused it, was almost too much to bear. Slowly, he pulled himself together, but the ache remained, lodged deep in his chest.
Later, Back in Seoul
The car ride back was mostly silent. Jungkook occasionally glanced over, his gaze filled with concern, but he knew Jimin needed space. As they neared the city, Jungkook broke the silence.
Jungkook: "Do you want to come to my apartment?"
Jimin shook his head slowly, staring out the window, lost in thought.
Jimin: "No... take me to the wood house."
Jungkook nodded, understanding the request without questioning it. Only Jungkook, Jimin, and J-Hope knew about that secluded place-a small, cozy cabin hidden away from the world. It was where Jimin went when he needed to clear his mind and escape.
They finally arrived, and Jimin stepped out, glancing at Jungkook with a look of gratitude.
Jungkook: "I'll check in later, okay? Take all the time you need, hyung."
Jimin gave him a small nod before heading inside, the familiar quiet of the wood house settling around him. As he closed the door, the weight of everything seemed to come crashing down once more. The stillness reminded him too much of YN, of the moments they'd shared here. It was a place where he'd felt at ease, but now, every corner seemed to echo with memories of her.
His phone buzzed, snapping him out of his thoughts. He glanced at the screen-it was his mom. He let it ring, not wanting to talk to anyone. He couldn't bring himself to pretend that everything was okay.
Moments later, his phone buzzed again. This time, it was Ji-Won. The annoyance flickered briefly in him before he put the phone on silent, shutting out the world completely. All he wanted was solitude.
Jimin walked into the bedroom, his steps heavy, and collapsed onto the bed. He turned to the empty spot beside him, where YN had once lain, memories flooding back-the way she'd laughed, the way she'd looked at him, the softness of her presence beside him.
He reached out as if to touch her, his hand brushing over the empty space. A tear slipped down his cheek, then another, as he lay there, staring at the emptiness that now felt overwhelming.
His phone buzzed beside him, and he picked it up, thinking it might be Ji-Won again. But when he saw YN's name, his chest tightened.
YN: Are you awake?
Jimin's heart skipped a beat as he read her name on the screen. He immediately opened the message, his fingers trembling slightly as he typed a reply.
Scribbler: No, doll... couldn't sleep.
A reply came quickly.
YN: Thanks for the flowers. I liked it.
Jimin felt a flicker of relief, and he couldn't help but smile.
Scribbler: I'm glad you like it.
There was a pause before YN sent her next message.
YN: I loved it. These past few days have been a mess, and honestly... I'm just feeling so low. Depressed, even.
Jimin's heart tightened as he read her words, his mind racing. He typed carefully, trying to keep his tone light but supportive.
Scribbler: Is it because of that Mr. Arrogant?
