YN's stomach twisted. "Just say it, Bora. I'm fine.
Bora: "Well, a new girl joined this semester. She's in our class now... and I... I'm not sure their relationship, but she's really close to Jimin."
YN's heart skipped a beat, a sinking feeling settling in her chest. She tried to keep her voice steady, but it was hard. "What do you mean close?"
she's been pretty forward with him, she was calling him 'baby."
YN's heart sank at Bora's words, though she tried to keep her voice steady. "I don't care about him, Bora. If he wants to be with her, then fine." Her tone was flat, masking the hurt she was feeling deep inside.
Bora: "Muffin, are you sure? I don't want you to—"
YN cut her off, her voice soft but firm. "I said I'm fine, Bora. I just need some time."
Without waiting for a response, YN hung up, feeling the tears start to well up in her eyes again. She buried her face in her pillow, allowing herself to cry once more. She had tried so hard to ignore the pain, but it was impossible now. Jimin had hurt her more than she ever thought possible, and she didn't know how to fix it.
YN's tears soaked the pillow, her chest tightening with every breath she took. The silence of her room was oppressive, as if the walls themselves were closing in. She wanted to scream, to let out the frustration that had been building for days, but all she could do was lie there, lost in her own sorrow.
Her mind kept replaying the image of Jimin and Ji-won together even though she hadn't seen it with her own eyes. Bora's words were enough to paint a picture she didn't want to see. "She calls him 'baby'..." YN's stomach twisted at the thought of Ji-won calling him that, like she had some sort of claim over him.
Jimin at Jungkook's apartment:
Jimin paced back and forth, his hands clenched in tight fists as he tried to calm the storm of emotions swirling inside him. Jungkook sat on the couch, the air too thick. He couldn't shake the image of YN from his mind—her eyes full of trust, the way she looked when he held her in his arms.
Jungkook was quiet, sitting on the couch, giving Jimin the space he needed. He knew his friend was wrestling with something he couldn't easily express.
Jimin stopped pacing, running a hand through his hair. "I can't stop thinking about it... about yesterday. When I hugged her, Kook."
Jungkook said nothing, but his eyes softened, understanding the depth of Jimin's turmoil.
Jimin's voice was barely above a whisper, full of regret. "I kissed her, Kookie. It wasn't just a kiss... It felt like... it was everything I've ever wanted. And then... I held her in my arms."
He paused, his eyes glazed with pain. "I held her, and for the first time, I felt like... like nothing else in the world mattered. Like everything was perfect. She looked so peaceful, trusting... and I ruined it."
Jungkook's heart went out to him. He had never seen Jimin like this, so lost and vulnerable. "Hyung," Jungkook said softly, "you haven't ruined anything. You can still fix it. You just have to show her."
Jimin shook his head slowly, his eyes turning toward the window, staring at nothing. "I don't know, Kook. Every time I think about that moment... I feel like I've lost something I can't get back. She was so perfect, so trusting, and I had everything I could have ever wanted in that moment. And now she's so far away from me. So distant."
He ran a hand over his face, feeling the weight of his own mistakes pressing down on him. "I want to hold her again like I did in the library, like we were the only two people in the world. But now... she's slipping away, and I don't know how to fix this."
Jungkook stood up and walked over to his friend, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You're not too late, hyung. It's not over. You have a chance to make things right. But you have to fight for her. You have to show her that you want her, that you're not just going to let her slip away."
Jimin closed his eyes, the ache in his chest growing deeper. "But... I don't know what to do, Kook. She's hurt. I can feel it. I've hurt her more than I ever thought possible. And now she's pushing me away."
Jungkook thought for a moment, then spoke up, his voice almost hesitant. "What if you reach out to her as Scribbler? She doesn't know it's you, and... maybe that way, you can tell her what you really feel. Maybe you can explain yourself, be the person she needs without all the pressure that's come from being Jimin."
Jimin's eyes widened as he turned to look at Jungkook. "Scribbler...
