They both watched the scene unfold, clearly irritated by Ji-Won's persistence. It was obvious that she was pushing Jimin's buttons, and it wasn't going to end well. But Jimin was still trying to keep his focus on his phone, hoping for a reply from YN. He wasn't about to let Ji-Won derail everything, but it was hard to ignore her constant presence.
Ji-Won smirked when she saw Jimin's reluctance. "You're too stiff, Jimin. Just relax, okay? You don't have to keep holding onto something that's not good for you. I'll make you see that. I'm better for you than she is."
Jimin had had enough. He stood up suddenly, grabbing his things and pushing past Ji-Won without looking back. He walked away, his mind racing.
He needed to check his phone again, to see if YN had replied. He hoped she was doing okay.
Jimin walked into the library, his heart a little heavier than usual. He made his way to the back corner, the one where he and YN had shared that quiet, intimate moment-the kiss that lingered in his thoughts, even now.
The memory of her soft lips against his, the warmth of her in his arms, flooded him all over again. He paused for a moment, standing still, before sinking to the floor.
Scribbler: Hey, how are you feeling now?
He hit send and leaned back against the cold stone of the library wall, closing his eyes for a moment. The weight of the day seemed to press down on him, and his mind wandered back to that kiss.
He hadn't seen her in person for a while, and he could feel the distance between them growing with each passing day.
A few minutes later, his phone buzzed again, and his heart skipped a beat. He snatched it up quickly.
YN: Hey, I'm fine I guess... :)
Jimin's chest tightened. That smiley face-it was so small, but it made him feel like she was hiding something.
Scribbler: Today's class is so boring. How is yours? Did you find it interesting?
YN: Well, I'm in Busan... taking a break as I said to you yesterday...
Jimin pov: Busan??? He felt a pang in his chest. Scribbler: Busan? You have friends in Busan?
He waited, the seconds feeling like hours until her reply came through.
YN: I visited my grandparents.
He exhaled, a small pang of relief that she was safe. But still, the ache didn't leave him.
Scribbler: When are you coming back?
YN: I'll come back on Sunday...
Sunday. The word hit him hard. Could he really wait until then to see her? He felt the weight of it settle in his chest as he muttered to himself, "It's too much. I can't wait until Sunday..."
Determined, he typed out a message to Jungkook.
Jimin: Kookie, I need your car keys... I'm going to Busan.
It didn't take long before Jungkook responded.
Jungkook: Tell me where you are. I'll come to you.
Jimin: Library.
Meanwhile, in class, Jungkook quickly packed up his things, his movements catching the attention of Ji-Won, who was seated nearby. She raised an eyebrow, watching Jungkook leave in a hurry.
Ji-Won pov: Why's he so rushed?
she wondered, getting a suspicious feeling. She decided to follow him quietly.
Jungkook arrived at the library and found Jimin sitting on the floor in the same spot where he had seen Jimin and YN together that day.
He could tell immediately that Jimin was struggling. He looked like he was barely holding himself together, his eyes distant and filled with a kind of sadness that Jungkook hadn't seen before.
"Hyung," Jungkook whispered, crouching down beside him. "Is she in Busan?"
Jimin nodded, blinking back the tears that threatened to spill. "I need to see her, Kook.
Jungkook placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Then let's go together. I'll drive."
Jimin shook his head, his voice barely a whisper. "No, Kookie. I need to do this alone..."
Jungkook gave him a small smile. "Hyung, I'm not leaving you like this. Not right now." He patted Jimin's shoulder again. "Come on, let's get going."
Reluctantly, Jimin agreed, and together they walked out of the library. Ji-Won, who had been hiding nearby, watched them leave.
