A Way Home (But not like this...)

Third Person POV

Rimuru tilted her head curiously at the startled or surprised looks around the table before turning her head to Feiyun, who was standing beside her.

"Did I say something wrong?"

Vita hummed in amusement, "I think it's more of the shock that Feiyun is suddenly standing like she wasn't sleeping for two days."

"Which will still happen, just to make that clear." Feiyun interjected, "I'm able to run on reserve energy now that she's here."

"I didn't expect you to have used your power that soon." Rimuru shrugged, "But I can't say that I'm not worried either, so let's make this quick. With that said, I'll have to leave you with the task, Feiyun!"

"Huh?" Feiyun was immediately startled as her hands moved to catch Rimuru just as she changed into her slime form, "Hey, what's the big idea?!"

"I'm going to assign you the task to keep me on track." Rimuru said, turning to look up at Feiyun, "Do your best!"

"What does that even-"

Rimuru cleared her throat dramatically, "Kondou is dating-"

As she predicted, before she could finish her sentence, Feiyun's hands were already twisting her slime body harshly in every direction to stop her. Velgrynd glanced behind as Kondou slowly and carefully backed away to where Dino was, standing beside the Demon Lord.

Feiyun glared down at her, "You better keep your trap shut."

"Okay, okay... I was just joking..." Rimuru blurted and she was released from the death grip, "Now then, is it okay if we start the meeting, Mei?"

Mei snapped back to attention and looked at Theresa, "Can we, Overseer?"

Theresa shook out her thoughts, giving Mei a nod, "Sure."

Everyone regained their senses soon after and the others took their seats while Rimuru was settled on the table.

"First, I'll have to apologize to everyone. I know it's late and my arrival has caused some problems. I'm sorry." Rimuru started, using her slime body to bend into a bow, "The next thing I have to say is thank you. Because of your help, we have been able to move to a favorable situation from what I heard."

"I wouldn't say that we helped much." Seele said with a shake of her head, "But that Ivarage... It's extremely powerful from what we could feel."

Rimuru hummed with a nod, "I had that feeling."

"We've basically confirmed that it has an Ultimate Skill but until now, we don't know what it does." Velgrynd explained, "When everyone had been fighting the Ivarage fragments, they displayed different types of powers."

"I see..." Rimuru took the information in stride before recalling an important detail, "I wanted to ask this but how did you guys come here? And why?"

Velgrynd shrugged in reply, "We followed Little Fei when she came over to this world."

"I don't recall you having any skills to traverse universes." Rimuru said, turning to Feiyun, "How did you do it?"

"You know that giant tree in Sarion?" Feiyun reminded her as Rimuru nodded, "That was a branch from the Imaginary Tree. I used that to connect to this world."

"Really?" Rimuru startled slightly, "I didn't know that!"

"Oh. Anyway, that tree and the Heaven's Tower were the things that were keeping the Cardinal World stable, the anchors of the world, basically." Feiyun continued, "So we used the Authority you gave us and are currently using them to stabilize the world as much as we can handle."
