Preparing for the Second Festival

Rimuru POV

I stretched my arms as another uneventful day passed and I gazed at the sun through the window.

"It's almost time..."

The preparations for the second Founding Festival had been underway for awhile now and because of the time constraint while cleaning up after the war, we could only come up with a schedule that was almost similar to the first one.

We didn't have the time to make another attraction, after all... At least there's that 'talent show' we came up with.

Other than that, entertainment ideas are still limited but it will have to suffice for the time being. Though, a normal fighting tournament can get people fired up, so it's not a big issue yet.

Musicals sound nice too but we don't have the resources or talents who are familiar with this. Eden knows some musicals but never participated in one before and there's scriptwriting and stage directions... Ah, I can't think about that now! More importantly...

<Are you certain that sending Pico, Gracia and Mai to pick up the ones from the other world will be enough?>

It's fine! It's not like Dino knows what to do after bringing them over so they'll do since they interacted with them a lot! Better to get someone familiar instead of any of our other friends.

<Yes, that is a good point. What about escorts?>

I think Souei or Beni will have time to spare to bring them to their accommodation. I will relay this to them. All we have to do is keep Fu Hua and Senti's presence concealed from the public eye.

<If the Herrscher will cooperate.>

Don't worry, I'm sure she will.

<... Right. By the way, I believe today is the day Iris and Feiyun are returning home. They are still banned from using any Herrscher powers so we need some heightened security for them.>

Yeah. I'm sure the Seven Swords are going to be Feiyun's bodyguards. I heard Zalario has sworn his loyalty to Iris so his army will probably be her bodyguards. I think it should be enough. Just in case, I'll have Moss hide his clones in their shadows for extra protection.

<Understood.>

Not a moment later, there was a knock on my office door and I ended my conversation with Ciel.

"Come in!"

Beni opened the door, greeting me with a bow and I motioned him to the couches as he sat on one of them, turning to face me.

"Rimuru-sama. I am aware that Iris-dono and Feiyun-dono are returning today." Beni started and I gave him a nod to continue, "This may seem sudden but I have to inform you that there have been various requests from other nobles to meet them."

"I am aware of that." I nodded again in understanding, "Honestly, I want them to be able to rest before the festival but I still have some things to tell them too... Have those nobles mentioned when they want the meeting to take place?"

"If possible, at least the day before the pre-festival celebration." Beni answered

I hummed in thought, "How troublesome... Because of Luminas's speech, it seems like some have turned into believers of sorts. I thought the mass memory alteration would do us some good but it didn't change much, huh?"

"Yes..." Beni nodded regretfully, "... I have some letters here that are from the nobles. I think some might be familiar to Feiyun-dono but not for Iris-dono since she rarely interacts with others."
