Young Justice League (Episode 1)

Gotham City

July 4th I 12:00 EDT

Dick knew that today would not be a good day, the plan that Bruce and the other Justice league members had concocted in order to deceive the so called partners of the members was terrible and would not work out the way that they thought it would. Dick had tried to tell him all of this but did the big bad bat listen to him of course not because as usual he thought he knew better. Dick sighed shaking his head as he took in the scene in front of him “God I hate Mr Freeze” Dick moaned looking at his brother and Tim just stared at him “Can we get this over with?” he asked clearly excited by what the day promised. He really wanted to tell him warn him about what was to come but Dick kept his mouth shut. “Yeah sure” Dick said as he motioned Tim to go ahead as he himself through a bat -o-rang get his attention. Tim grinned as he ran forward leaping so he landed on Mr Freezes head cracking his helmet before landing infront of him. “Oh” Mr Freeze said sounding a little disappointed “One of the Boy Wonders, the Bat sent you to drag me off to Prison, Frankly I'm a little underwhelmed” Nightwing laughed a little before hit his com “I’ll take him down from behind” he said letting Red Robin know. The boy looked totally board as he said out loud “Great, but i’m kind of in a hurry here” he said and Nightwing could only laugh quitely at his brother. “Kid's always in a hurry” Mr Freeze muttered as he raised his ice gun in response. The last thing Nightwing heard was Red's sing song voice saying “Not talking to you” before his feet smacked into the back of Mr Freeze sending him flying forward smacking his head into the picnic table.

Tim looked at him in expectation as if to say come on then. Nightwing sighed and pressed a button on his wrist that would call the cops to there location to come pick up the unconscious trouble maker. “I don't even get why your so excited” Dick said running a hand through his hair “You have seen every part of the league, faught in almost every mission. This isn't something special to you” Tim sighed attaching his staff to his back “Well yeah but this time my friends get to learn the secrets of the Justice League, it's just one more thing that I don't have to keep hidden”. Oh now it all made sense to Dick and he really felt shit not telling him the truth, the kid was going to be pissed when he finally found out and that was never pretty.

“Are you coming to the Big day?” Tim asked and Dick sighed “I’m supposed to help Hood with something, we are looking into that Child Trafficking case but ill let him know I can't make it if you want after all it is a big day for you.” He offered scratching the back of his head, Tim groaned and shook his head “No, No you should do that. How is that foinf anyway?” he asked and Dick shrugged “We got a lead we think it is happening down at the harbour so we are going to go check it out see if you can figure anything out” he answered just as the sirens could be heard not far away. Dick looked over and saw the cars he turned back to his brother and smiled “You better get going if you want to be on time” he said and Tim smiled shooting his grabling hook without even a goodbye.

Dick watched him go and shook his head, he really hoped that Bruce knew what he was doing getting these kids hopes up only to crush them in one single blow. He just hoped that Tim wouldn't be to angry with him when he found out he knew and didn't say anything after all he tried to have his back and it wasn't his fault that their father was hard headed and stubborn. With a sigh he looked back over and smiled when he saw commissioner Gordan approaching.

Later that day Dick was sat with his other brother while they where watching the pier from there vantage point on one of the abandoned buildings. “Red is going to be so pissed when he finds out” Nightwing complained to Hood who just shrugged “Red should no better then to think that Bat would actually just show a bunch of kids the watch tower expecially ones that include Speedy and Kid Flash.” Nightwing begrudgingly agreed that his brother had a point “That’s true but not really the point” and Hood just shrugged again “No but well we all went through it that rebellion phase where we thought we new better and branched out on our own after all you did run away to your own city and became what you are now it's just part of the course” Nightwing rolled his eyes “Yeah and you got killed” he snapped.
