Bat-Family Oneshots

Training to understand

The team were gathered in the training room waiting for their mentors to come in. they were told that today would be different than usual, more of a team bonding exercise, so none of them was wearing there unforms. Wally, as usual, was the first to break the comfortable silence "So...what bonding exercise exactly requires all the mentors to be here?" 

"Maybe we are going to be work with them in teams to complete challenges or something" M'gann suggested rationally.

"Nah, doubt it. Rob and Batman would just beat us before completing  ours as well." Wally told her point-blank.

"We wouldn't, yes we would finish first, but then id laugh at you guys struggling while Batman through death glares at me" Robin argued

"Either way with your super-secret silent bat language, you'd be at an unfair advantage" 

  Before Robin could argue back, Aqualad cut in "Enough,  I doubt it would be anything of the sort" 

At that point all six mentors including a grumpy looking Superman and excited looking Black Canary walked in. the first thing they noticed that standing to the right of batman was a younger man wearing a black suit with blue details. To say they were confused was an understatement as none of the teens knew who he was except for a certain bird who was internally laughing at the looks on his friend's faces.

"Hey guys" Black canary greeted

"What are we doing today?" Wally gushed out unable to contain his curiosity any longer.

"Impatient as always" Robin teased

"Don't even start rob because you were thinking the same thing!" Wally defended himself 

"Nope. Because I already know what we are doing!" the bird said shooting down his friend's defence. 

"Robin" Batman stated blankly stopping the speedster from continuing the argument. The Bird wiped away his teasing expression, replacing it with his all-knowing smirk. Before anyone could speak the stranger chuckled, to which Batman glared sideways at him causing the mn to cough as if he were trying to cover it up. 

"Now that I have your attention" Black Canary stated a small smile playing on her face "Today we are going to be creating a psychological simulation, to help with team bonding. You are going to experience how your teammate's train." Black canary said before continuing after receiving various nods of understanding. "For this training to really be effective and really get the complete understanding of how it feels you are going to be working with the respected mentors" 

"How  do we decide who get to go first?" Artemis says excitedly

"Since we can't say pick a number because a certain bird will easily guess it," Flash says cheerily "I brought along sticks. the shorter the stick being the ones that go first." He pulls out six sticks, letting each teenager pick one before asking "Who has the shortest?" 

Robin who had been watching answers "Artemis" Flash whipped out a pen and paper and wrote the order as Robin spoke "Artemis, Conner, Kaaldur, Miss M, Wally and then me.

Before anyone could speak the stranger said "B, B, B please" all but one of the teens looked shocked while robin and leaguers just looked amused.

"No" the dark knight replied

"But-" 

"No" 

"B please-"

"It's not going to happen"

"Pease B I want to play tooooo" the blue and black-clad hero whined out.

the dark knight paused with a sigh that scared the team even more "Fine" 

the younger man whooped and high fived the flash who was looking just as excited. Batman looked unamused and decided he had, had enough and left the room. 

The seemingly hyper hero bounced over to the team, stopping in front of Robin "Hey bro did you hear that, B is gonna let me play too" robin nodded before turning to face his team "Team, this is my older brother Nightwing" the team gasped "Wait, whooo hold it. You have a brother? since when" Wally asked shocked that he never knew "Actually" Robin drew out "I have three"

"Why didn't you tell us," Artemis asked. Robin shrugged "You never asked" Nightwing cut them off "Can we get on to the fun part now? Im really looking forward to seeing how they shindig" the others nodded turning back to the remaining mentors "First of all, Nightwing this is not a game. If you are going to join in with today's training take it seriously" Black Canary tried to chastise but the small smile on her lips betrayed her. Nightwing shrugged nonchalantly "meh tomato, tomatoe" black canary face palmed internally. 

"Anyway, Martian manhunter is going to create an environment similar to where and how you train with your mentor then we can begin!" Black Canary said handing over to the martin.

"Can everyone please take a seat so we can start" manhunter requested as his eyes lit up.

they all felt there minds being drawn into a simulated world.
