Bat-Family Oneshots

who are the bat bros? pt 3

"No, they suspect that that was just pure coincidence. We needn't worry though with the boys working together they can take out anything. My worry right now is that the team don't have there powers"

The young team of heroes were all seated surrounding the four boys who were apparently sleeping all tangled together. They were silent for a moment until Artemis couldn't keep her mouth shut any more "So...these are the famous 'bat bros'...they don't look like much" Wally's mouth fall open at his team members words.

"Are you crazy?" he started "They just saved our asses" Artemis scoffed "I'd hardly call it saving. We could have got out ourselves" Connor glares "If it wasn't for them we'd be god knows were" Kaldur bring the usual peacekeeper said "Artemis my friend, Connor is right you should be more grateful" Artemis flipped her hair ignoring her leader's words.

"What I don't understand is why the league made them sound like they were something special. We could have done the same thing" Connor scoffed "Yet we were the ones who were stuck in the back of a truck" Wally nodded before saying "Arty did you not hear what Flash said? He said individually they could take down the league members and as a team, he wasn't sure of their full capabilities" 

Just as Artemis finished saying "Bullshit" A voice startled them. They all whipped around and found the boy wearing a red mask talking "Believe what you want blonde, but what speedster says is the truth" M'gann squeaked "We thought you were asleep" To there surprise it was the youngest who replied.

"Even if we were it is no excuse to talk about us behind our backs" Artemis scoffed "We can talk about you if we wish" the youngest tutted before replying "Do you make a habit of bullying little kids ?" Artemis glared, causing Red Hood to smirk as his younger brother carried on talking "Careful it would be a pity if batman found out wouldn't it?" Artemis crossed her arms and was about to talk again when Red Robin spoke.

"Im surprised that, that's your only threat, I was expecting your knife at his throat" the youngest didn't even blink when he said, "Batman and Nightwing told me to behave or they would take away my katana" red robin raised an eyebrow "And you listened?" Robin shook his head "No but then Nightwing gave me hug passes" Red Robin nodded in understanding "Good call" Artemis huffed "Who do you think you're talking to?" 

Before Robin could reply, Nightwing's pain muffled voice spoke up "Shut up all of you!" This pissed Artemis off more "What gives you the right to tell me to shut up" Red Hood was the one to jump at the opportunity to talk "I dunno maybe it's because he saved you or perhaps because he is the one who is injured" Artemis reluctantly went silent. 

M'gann looked sadly at the pained eldest bat "Why can't you give him something for the pain?" Red Robin looked up at his teammate and then his older brother "We gave him stuff before the fight he cant have any more for another two hours" M'gann nodded sadly suddenly Red Hood stood up startling everyone bar the bats "Talking about that we should probably patch you up a bit" Nightwing looks up at his brother "Probably but if I stand up now im going to fall over" Robin stood up as well "Stay here ill help collect the equipment" Nightwing nodded "Bring me some painkillers im willing to risk it" the boys nodded and moved up the jet

The team carried on watching the boys interaction still a little suspicious. Red Robin moved closer to his older and quietly said "Thank you for helping me save my team" Nightwing laughed painfully "I helped set the team up you don't think I'd just let them die do you?" Red Robin chuckled and just as he was about to talk when Artemis interrupted the moment "What do you mean you set the team up? that was Connor, Robin and Kaldur!"

Red Hood laughed when he got close enough "Do you really think just because they got all defiantly the league just suddenly changed there mind? If anything they were even more reluctant to let you lot fight crime. No Nightwing stepped in and set the whole thing up and then let B and the rest take over" the team all went silent in shock.

Red Hood smirked and Robin scoffed at there gaping mouths. Hood kneeled down in front of his older brother and all four of them went to quick work patching the eldest up. Once they were done Nightwing spoke "Hood please give me somthing now!" the second eldest looked reluctant but the complied "Only because you must be in serious pain to admit to it" 

Connor interrupted and asked a question "If you where the founder of the team why did you not say anything" Nightwing was silent for a moment but Robin decided to answer in his usual snobby voice "Imbecile. It really is simple Nightwing never does anything for personal gain or praise." Red Hood nodded "Demon brat is right he is too much of a self sacrificing idiot"

everyone fall into silence in contemplation for the rest of there jurney to the mountain.
