Jason walked into Bruce's office to find him typing away at his laptop face full of concentration. "Hey B," Jason said not really caring if he was interrupting or not the man in question looked up at his second-oldest son and said with a sigh "What do you need Jason?" Jason ignored the sigh and said "I can't find Dick" Bruces brow frowned in confusion "Do you think I have him chipped or something?" Jason cocked his head slightly "Well do you?" Bruce grumbled something under his breath that Jason couldn't quite make out. "Sorry repeat that" Bruce straightened his back and said louder "Not anymore" Jason wasn't even surprised that the elder bird had been chipped "Well why not?" was all he could ask.
"Had to take it out when he turned 18" Bruce said turning back to his laptop "How come?" Jason said confusion lacing his voice "Something about him being legally an adult" Jason eyebrow rose "Even though he has the mind of a four-year-old?" bruce sighed "Unfortunately" Jason sighed wondering how he was going to find the older bird when he was suddenly hit with an idea Jason stepped out into the hall and shouted "Dick bruce is leaving for Hong Kong" suddenly Jason heard bruce grunt and the sound of his older brothers whiny voice come from the office he had just left.
When he looked in from the doorway he found Bruce sprawled out on the fall with the Dick clawed into him like a cat being dragged for a bath saying "Bruce you lied to me" over and over again Bruce said as calmly as possible "Im not going any where !" but the first robin was having none of it, Bruce caught sight of Jason standing in the doorway and shot the marksman a glare, Jason ignored him and looked around the room "Where did he even come from?" he questioned in confusion. Bruce heard what the young man said and also looked around the room as much as he could from the position he was in, which was still on the floor. The bat looked alarmed also not quite sure how Dick had managed to get into the room without either of them seeing.
"I think you need to test him for the metagene again, just to be sure" Jason said edging backwards slowly. Bruce just nodded quietly thinking to himself 10th time is the charm after all
